Some more Christmas ideas..

Are you looking for a great gift for that girl who is past the baby dolly stage, but not a late teen yet? Mattel just launched one of the hottest new toys this July called MyMeebas. It’s the first Mattel toy for girls to combine electronic game play with a plush surprise. There is a portable tube that girls can play over 20 games and activities on with 7 levels of play on the sliding LCD screen. Through fun, nurturing game play, girls care for and interact with their My Meebas toy until they are fully grown on the screen. Inside the tube, which has to be unlocked with game play, holds a treasured plush pet....and there may even be "twins" inside! Each My Meebas plush toy surprise is different, with 60 to collect! There are different categories to chose from when picking your My Meebas: intelligence, love, friendship, happiness, luck and beauty. You can purchase these fun and interactive toys online, or I know Walmart sells them, too. The only suggestion I would have with this toy is to add a volume control. I think this is a fun toy for girls.Polly Pocket has come out with the paper doll of today! Pop 'N Swap is a line of Polly Pockets that offers girls to change outfits, hair styles/colors, and accessories with just "popping" a new piece on. Pop 'N Swap has five heads, nine torsos, and nine bottoms that simply click together, making it easy for little hands to change outfits easily! My daughter had a blast making the dolls different and changing the looks. Girls can create endless style combinations by mixing-and-matching the different pieces, making for endless hours of play. Polly Pocket has great play value at a great price point, so it’s easy to let girls collect them all! Polly Pocket Pop 'N Swaps come in many different styles, some of which are dance, city girl, beach doll, disco doll, and more! Again, I think this is a great fun, and imaginative set to give some little girl! Mattel makes great products!

Isn't your daughter one? I don't tend to think of Polly Pockets as being for little girls -- my nieces are obsessed with them, but they are a bit older. My two-year-old likes to play with her Fisher Price Snap 'n Style doll, which is a similar concept to the Pop N Swap -- but it sounds like Polly Pocket has more variety.

The my Meebas thing looks like something that Molly might get a kick out of. I'd never heard of them, but she likes the virtual pets online and that sort of thing, so I think she'd like these.

When I was little, i loved little things like those dolls with snap on dresses. Of course, they didn't exist then, but I would've loved that! :D

I hope you're doing well, Sarah! :D

Thanks for the clarification. I know I've heard others express concern about the teeny-tiny pieces and the little kids -- and my daughter still puts things in her mouth sometimes, but I have a feeling Polly Pockets are in her future at some point.
