One "stylin'" little mama!

Madelyn is definitely a "girly girl" and loves to be a little mommy! She is just under 2 years old, and she is already role playing, loving her "babies" and playing "house." My friend, Candace, gave Madelyn a children's sling for Christmas. She said Madelyn is going to want to be like her Mom when the baby comes, so that is why she got her the pouch sling! I can say that I think it was a great gift, and I know Madelyn will use it a lot! She is already loving baby wearing her little babies!
She had such a fun time today walking around carrying her little baby. She kept holding her little dolly and kissing it. Then she would say, "Cute," and give me the sweetest little smile.
Her big brother Caleb's sun glasses were by her, so she decided that she needed to wear them!
She is one styling little girly mama!
One of her favorite sayings right now is, "Look at me!" She loves to show us what she accomplishes!
I love my little princess. It is so much fun having a little girl!

Teeth

Today, I picked Nathaniel up from school at 2:10. He had an appointment to get a baby tooth pulled. He wasn't excited about this at all. I told him they would probably numb his gums with a gel before they got started. He asked me if they were going to put a needle in his mouth. I couldn't lie, so I told him they probably will. I told him he probably wouldn't really feel it if they put that gel on his gums.
The appointment went rather well. I did hear him cry out, and then shed a few tears. The Dental Hygienist came out and talked to me after the procedure. I didn't watch the time, but I really think it only took about 10-15 minutes total! I think that was good time! Anyway, she came out and told me he is a great kid, and that he did fine. She said that he told her he felt the tooth getting pulled out. She told me that when they put the needle in, he didn't feel it, so she wasn't so sure he did feel the tooth come out~ or if he just heard the crack sound. Either way, he did great, she said. He came out with gauze sticking out the side of his mouth. He was a little red eyed, but gave me a little smile. I told him he did great. After awhile, he was really liking that he couldn't feel his cheek or his lip. I told him that was the best part, unless your whole mouth is numb, and you end up biting your tongue and cheeks all the time. That is not so fun. I am glad his tooth is out. We will be looking at getting him into braces within the next year or so. I am NOT looking forward to that...especially the $$cost$$!! He has an overbite, teeth growing down out of the top sides of the gums, and his mouth is really crowded. Poor guy...hopefully the braces will be good for him.

I was checking out the progress in Madelyn's mouth tonight, because she has been chewing on everything lately...especially her fingers. I noticed that she has cut a molar through! I didn't even know that she was getting her molars yet! She has 3 teeth on top (in the front) and two on bottom...so she is missing 3 teeth in the front that most get before their molars. Oh well...as long as they all come in. Now I know why she has been a bit more moody lately...and her nights are a bit interrupted from sleep. hmmmm....

Precious Prayers

Yesterday, just before we ate lunch, Caleb, Nathaniel and I prayed. When I said, "Amen," I looked over at Madelyn. She had her eyes covered, and she had her hands slightly clasped. She was also jabbering some. Then, she opened her hands, and said, "A-ma." It was so incredibly adorable! Her first official prayer!

Sorry, I have taken a mini vacation from the Bloggin' world over the weekend. I was home, just busy an not online. I hope you all had a super weekend!

Friday afternoon, I had my ultrasound. I went to a different location this time, and I am regretting that decision. The tech lady I had was horrible! I was so disappointed with the service, and I am definitely complaining! I have had internal ultrasounds with every baby, and also when they have had to look for cysts, so I know the drill. They always give you a thicker (like a table cloth) sheet to cover your body from waist down, and you put your feet up on the table~ while totally covered. The techs I have had always had me insert the probe, too.
Well, this tech did everything wrong, I believe. She handed me the paper thin cover (like a paper towel)...which this is used for the other yearly visit. Then, after she came back in, she had me put my feet in the stirrups! If that wasn't bad enough, then she did the insert by herself, and just left me out there. NO covering me back up for privacy. It was totally uncomfortable. I asked her a few questions, and she was completely against giving me information! I was so unhappy with her. She didn't have any bedside manners, and really didn't put effort into small talk. Then, to really add icing to the visit, she started moving the probe around like she was digging. It was totally uncomfortable, and it actually hurt! I told her it didn't feel very good, and she just said, "Well, I am trying to get a good picture of your ovary, and yours is tilted back."
OK, SO WHAT!! I am pregnant, and you have no business digging around in there and causing pain! I have never been in pain for a visit like that. Even when I have been in for cysts on my ovaries, when they needed the pictures to be super clear. You know something isn't right when you are actually sore after a visit like that.

ON THE GOOD SIDE~~ I did get to see my little baby and that little heart just beating away! AMEN, and Praise the Lord! I was so happy! According to the ultrasound, I will be 8 weeks along on Tuesday. Yeah! So, my due date should be January 13 or so. Toward the end of the pregnancy, they will watch everything closely. With Caleb my amniotic fluid was low, and with Madelyn, it was almost gone on her due date. So, as my Dr. has mentioned, it won't get better with anymore, but it will be something we will have to be careful to watch. I am at a whole new clinic and new Dr.'s now, so I hope and pray all goes well.

Saturday, we got a lot done around the house, and Terry started working in the Hobby store. Then, Saturday night, our friends came over to have a grill out, and hang out. It was a fun night. We got a good storm through here, but the really bad stuff missed us. (Thankfully).

Today, we went to church. My aunt and uncle treated us to Subway. It was yummy! Maddie started not feeling very good, and she was actually kind of warm. So, when we got home, I gave her Tylenol. She is cutting 4 teeth, her first teeth, so I am not sure if that is why she had a fever or not. My aunt and uncle came over after Subway, and we went for a pontoon ride. It was a gorgeous day! Maddie got in a great nap on the boat.
In the evening, Maddie was feeling a bit better, so we went to a MOPS family picnic. Unfortunately, when we were there for just a bit, her fever spiked. So, we didn't stay too long. I feel so bad for her! I hope this (what ever it is) goes quick. I am suppose to work tomorrow, after being off for a week and a half. Not only does Candace need my help, but we need the money, too. I really am tired of my kids being sick so much!

Tonight, Caleb's legs are so swollen from bug bites! He has bumps behind his ears, and a few on his head. Poor little guy. So, he had an Aveeno bath, and Benedryl before bed.

Will the screaming cease?

Madelyn has been such a screamer the last few days (or has it been a bit longer?). She is working on her upper front teeth, and her bottom two front teeth. Finally she is getting some teeth (at almost 15 months old). She has been on the moody and ornery side with the teeth. Her nights have been interrupted with pain (I am sure) and it is making our nights "fun." I know I will have to ween her eventually, but I know during this teething time, I should let her be comforted with nursing. So...tomorrow is another day, but I have to get through another night, first.

I am excited again!

I was so relieved today to get the news that everything is looking great with the pregnancy so far! I called the clinic today around noon to see what the results were. The lady said that the NP wasn't in today, and she would be in tomorrow. So, I asked her as kindly as I could, "So, there is someone else that I can talk to and can tell me the results TODAY, right?" So, she said another NP would call me back. Within 5 minutes, the other NP called me and told me the results weren't in yet, and she would call me when they came in. So, all afternoon I waited, and waited, and WAITED. Then, when I got home at almost 4:00, I saw no one had called when I was gone, so I called the clinic again. The NP called back and said that the blood sample was sent a few hours away, and since my blood draw was at 5:00 yesterday (and the sample didn't have a STAT on it), I may not have the results until tomorrow! What?? Oh no, I really can't wait until tomorrow! She must have known I was anxious, because she said, if any results come in before 5:00 when she leaves she will call. Actually, she said she will call either way. At about 5:04 she called and told me the results literally just came in...and everything looks great and normal! WOO HOO!! My numbers of HCG was 9,563 on Friday, and on Monday they read 22,028! Yeah! Thank you Lord! I was so happy! Now, I can relax some, and enjoy the pregnancy again. I didn't even tell anyone at our stamp club last night, because I was worried I may have to retrieve my words. So, now I can shout it out again~ I AM PREGNANT! :)

I babysat today. I ended up going a bit late, because Madelyn fell asleep in the high chair during breakfast. She doesn't take very good naps, so I called to see if it was ok that I would be late. I wanted to let her sleep and get some good rest. She has been having such a hard time with her teeth coming in. She has been wanting to nurse constantly. I don't really know what to do anymore. I want to comfort her, but I don't want her to just suck on me all day! Poor little honey! I really hope these teeth come in soon! I know that nursing my little princess will come to an end sometime soon here with being pregnant. I know she will have a really hard time with stopping.

Caleb started complaining of his ears hurting when we were on our way home this afternoon. I am not sure if he is suffering from a sinus issue, allergies, or a cold/ear infection. I will have to see what tomorrow holds. I hope we can go babysit miss Claudia. I may have to bring Caleb in to the Dr. tomorrow if his ears keep bothering him. I want him to be healthy and feel good for his 3rd Birthday party this weekend! Yep, my little boy is turning 3 years old! I can't believe how time flies by! It is a sad moment, but a fun milestone, too. I hope it will be a fun day for him. Terry's Grandma makes cakes, and Caleb asked her if she can make a batter batter baseball cake for him. He is all excited about that. I am not sure where he got the batter batter part, but it is funny!

Nathaniel was out all day on Saturday with his friend Austin. Austin comes here to visit quite often. His Great Grandpa lives across the road from us, and so him and Nathaniel have become great friends. So, Saturday him and Austin were busy playing near the stream and by their "fort." One time during the day, Nathaniel brought home a 5 gallon pail with about 20 toads in it. It was gross, but totally a boy thing. Nathaniel has a pet Salamander that he took captive last fall, and has been feeding and caring for it since in his 10 gallon aquarium. So, he had "Sally" out for the afternoon. In this 5 gallon pail were all these toads and poor Sally being bombarded by over zealous toads. Terry and I told him to get Sally out of there, and she probably wasn't very happy with the toad parade. Anyway, Nathaniel had a great and grand day. He was even told he could make money by picking up golf balls. Austin's G. Grandpa owns a Driving Range.

Wordless Wednesday: Train Ride

Teeth? Or Sick?

Madelyn is really working on 4 (her first four) teeth. Her gums are bulging, and I can see the whites of teeth under her gums. She has been pooping more, like 5 diapers a day. Her poor little heiny! Well, last night she had a higher fever. During the night, she started a barking cough. Then, this morning (at 5:40 A.M) I woke up with her super hot!
I gave her the Motrin, and checked her temperature. It was 101.7 under the arm. We aren't even sure our thermometer is right on, because it takes forever to get the results! Poor little girl! Her cheeks were flushed, and when she was sitting on my lap...I could feel her hot little bottom! ~That is how hot she was!
So, with having such a high temperature, and that cough, we will be making a trip in to see the Dr. this morning. I am pretty sure it is just her teeth, because she no longer has the cough this morning. Plus, she has no other symptoms. She is happy, smiley, and playful. So, we will see. Maybe I should cancel her appointment...I hate to bring in kids just to hear, "They are fine...or it's just a virus." And~pay $25.00 to hear them say it.


I have my first "baby" appointment today. I have to do a verification test~ pee in a cup. Then, I will be talking to the CNP about a health questionnaire, I believe. I am sure we will schedule an ultrasound to make sure all is good with the baby. Due to a miscarriage 2 years ago, I am in a greater risk category. So, I look forward to the ultrasound to see that little heart beating.

Here is a glimpse into my last labor/delivery story. It is a story of Madelyn's birth. Maddie is very special, not only because she is a precious gift from God, and my first daughter...but she is my little miracle baby after a miscarriage. I had very little amniotic fluid left according to the ultrasound on my due date, so they needed to get things moving. I went in that night to the hospital, and they put a pill in the nook of my cervix. Well, that really got things moving and about 4 1/2 hours later, my sweet pea was born. I did have an epidural, and she didn't respond well to that. I was hooked up to oxygen and needed to keep flipping from side to side. I was the biggest I ever was with pregnancies, so I was expecting a 9 1/2-10 pond baby. This picture of my "belly bump" is when I was about 7 months along. I know, I really should have taken a picture right before I went to the hospital.

So, back to the labor...When I started pushing, it burned like fire down there...well, come to find out she was posterior (so she was sunny side up). Luckily she had a little mellon, so it wasn't too bad. When she came out, of coarse I was emotional, and the Dr. asked me how big I thought she was. I said, "Oh, 8 pounds?" The Nurse said, "No, she is little, she is more like 7 pounds." My best friend, Randi, was in there, and she took a guess at 6 pounds 8 ounces. Randi knows her baby weights, because Maddie clocked in at 6 pounds 9 1/2 ounces! What a little peanut! That was a new experience for me, because both my boys were over 8. Nathaniel was 8 1/2, and Caleb was almost #9! Her going home outfit didn't fit her until she was 3 months old. What a miracle she is!

Survey says: Time to ween~

Madelyn has been cutting back on her nursing. She has been slowly decreasing how often she wants to nurse. I am all about letting her be the leader for breaking the ties....as sad as it is. Caleb; however, I cut him off of nursing...at about 10 1/2-11 months. He bite me. He bite me hard! OK, he seriously drew blood the fourth time he bite me really hard. It was one of those moments that I thought I was going to throw him across the room. I really wouldn't do that, but I was in so much pain, the though ran through my mind. The thought of it now just makes my chest recoil. **OWIE!**

Anyway, most of today Madelyn didn't nurse. Then tonight, she actually rejected me. I had just given the kids a bath, and I was cuddling them in bed and reading to them. She was acting like she wanted to nurse, so I lowered her down, and she spotted Caleb's sippy cup. Sure enough, she sat up, and pointed to the cup and babbled Maddie jibberish. I tried to get her to nurse, and she just got mad, so I gave her the cup. She drank some, and said, "MMM...num." Then, she nodded her head and smiled. Then, she preceeded to drink the water. I need to look at it as another Maddie Milestone.

This is Maddie with her first Oreo cookie. I gave this to her about 2 weeks ago, and she was so lovin' it! She did the sign for more after she ate it!

Where was I this weekend~

I see that I am keeping a trend of not blogging much over the weekend...until Sunday night. That is OK, right? I try to spend my weekends with the kids, Terry...and mainly family time. That is so important to me!
Friday night, I did do some blogging as Terry and Nathaniel played a car racing game on the PS 2. Saturday morning, I went to WW and I had a Pound and a half gain! I really need to get my management back in order. Back to writing everything down, and measuring everything! I have to get my discipline back! I am so happy that my friends: Jodi, Anna, and Jeannie are starting WW. It will help to have "fresh excitement" around me. That is so encouraging to me. You should go to Jeannie's blog by clicking HERE! She just started a blog, and she is doing it based on her new journey with WW! Go give her some encouragement!
After WW, I stopped by home, then I went to Jeannie's Tastefully Simple party. That was a lot of fun! Jodi (our mutual friend) was the consultant! She did a fantastic job! I love the Tastefully Simple products! I ordered some, and I booked a party!
Saturday afternoon I did some cleaning. I wanted to do so much more, but with Madelyn it is a bit limited. Terry wanted to work outside, and he had been with the kids all morning long...so, it was my turn with the kiddos. Nathaniel had a friend sleep over Saturday night. Terry and I actually watched a movie together Saturday night, too! It was great to cuddle up on the couch together. It has been awhile.
Today, we went to church in the morning. There was a bake (silent auction)sale to raise money for the Youth Group. There were plates of cookies, bars, cake, and pie...selling from $10-almost $40! That is great that our church family is so generous to make these desserts as a donation, and for the people willing to buy them at those prices to help the youth. What a blessing!
We got to go on our first family bike ride this afternoon. It was so nice outside! The ice is almost off the lake completely! We rode to the park, and played awhile. Terry and Nathaniel flew the dragonfly kite, and had a great time. I wish I would have remembered my camera.
I painted Madelyn's fingernails and toenails for the first time today. She sat still through all of it, and didn't really even notice it. She looks so cute with her nails all done up, so I had to do mine, too!

Today:

Today was a great day! The little kids and I went to babysit Claudia. The kids were busy today. I am trying to teach them how to do the Itsy Bitsy Spider. Claudia thinks it is great, and she grins from ear to ear. She is so cute! Candace had bought the Baby Signing Time gift set, and the kids love them! When you sign the sign for baby, Claudia goes to the TV, opens the doors on the Entertainment Center, and turns on the TV. It is really funny. It is really amazing how those little kids (13 months) and Caleb (almost 3) have picked up the signs so fast!
After work, I picked up Nathaniel from school, and we went to Wal-Mart. I had to pick up a new curling iron (mine wouldn't even heat up this morning) and a few other essentials. We had to get some bubbles per Caleb's request. Yesterday, I had the kids outside when we got home from babysitting and we wrote all over our sidewalks and front steps with chalk.

It was Madelyn's first time with chalk, and she thought it was a blast! She even wrote on the step so carefully. She only tried eating the chalk twice. She realized it wasn't very tasty, so she learned not to keep trying it.

They were so dirty, but they sure had fun! Madelyn's pants were so colorful! She really doesn't care much for her hands to get dirty. I think that is so funny!
The bubbles we had from last summer weren't very good. They kept popping even before they left the wand. So, Caleb asked if we can get more.

So, I picked up Mega Wand (sword) wands for Nathaniel and Caleb, and a little Panda Bear bubble kit for Madelyn. Then, we walked by the kites. Caleb has been asking about a kite since February. I told him (at that time) that spring will come, and we can fly kites. I only mentioned that once, but he has got a superior memory, because he never forgot that statement. It really is astonishing to me and Terry at what he remembers.

Caleb got a Buzz Lightyear kite (currently his top favorite character in Toy Story~currently is all-time favorite movie) and Nathaniel got a really cool looking dragonfly with a tail. He picked that out himself. He loves bugs and frogs...etc. There was a frog one, but he chose the dragonfly.

Tonight we went to look at a little Geo Metro for a commuter car. Terry drives 45 minutes to work and 45 min. home everyday. We also drive Nathaniel 90 minutes one way every other weekend, so we needed a little car with good gas mileage. We got the car, and I think it will be a good fit for our family. There are a few minor fixes, but Terry is sure he can fix whatever is needed. He is so great at figuring out things and knowing what needs to be done. I am so thankful that he is resourceful!

These shoes are made for walkin'...plus other...

Madelyn is walking now. I am so proud of her!! She looks so cute with her hands flying around in the air as she is carefully taking each step forward. She does occasionally fall, but she is really loving the walking technique. So, at 13 months she is now a walking tator tot. :)

Madelyn is really loving looking in the mirror now, too. Whenever I show her to herself, she squeals and has the most cheesiest grin on her face. Boy, don't you wish we could still have that instant joy when we look in the mirror? What changed that? MEDIA~

Madelyn loves to eat. I try to not just feed her what I will eat, but try to give her good variety and lots of colors. I think this will help her broaden her tastes. There are many things she doesn't like, but I will just keep introducing them to her.

I have been teaching Madelyn and Claudia 'Ring Around the Rosey' and at first Madelyn was not interested at all. Well, yesterday, I stood up and said, "let's do ring around the rosey." Caleb and Claudia came over and grabbed my hands...then, here came Miss Madelyn. She was happy to come and join us now. It was precious! She stood up, and Claudia reached over to grab her hand. Madelyn wasn't really in the mood for hand holding, but it was cute nonetheless. The kids all laugh and giggle when they "all fall down!"

Madelyn is starting to talk now, too. She says thank you: Ta, Ta; she says love you: La, lu; she says diaper: dai, dai; she says Dad: dah, dah; and she says Mom: ma, ma. She is so cute, she tries to say so much, and she gets mad if we aren't listening. She will talk to us about getting her drink. If we don't catch it, she starts yelling and getting mad at us. It is really funny, actually.

She is also giving hugs and kisses. If you ask her for a kiss (most of the time) she says, "Mmmm..." and kisses~ with mouth wide open. Also, if you ask for a hug, she will hug with all affection, and even lay her head on your shoulder. Once in awhile, she will pat my shoulder. It is so heart melting!

Taking baby steps

Today Madelyn was trying something new. She stood up, and took about 4 steps, then fell down. She got up, took about 4 steps, then fell. She kept doing this over and over for about 20 minutes. I think she is getting very ready to start walking. She is so adorable! I really am loving this new milestone of hers, and I am not going to rush it at all. I love watching her face as she is trying to be more mobile. I am really looking forward to less floor materials on her hands! Maybe this will help with staying more sick-free? Ok, that is wishful thinking...
I will have to keep my camera ready and snap some photos of her taking some more steps.

Madelyn's One Year Check Up

Madelyn had her one year check up on Monday. She was 367 days old...it was the day after her birthday, but it is Leap Year, so she was actually a year and one day on her "BIRTH"day! (Thanks Mom-in-law for pointing that out). I know she is a little peanut, but I found out she isn't even in the fifth percentile! At age one, she is 16 pounds 6 ounces...and that is with a diaper on. She is a little one! She is 27 inches long, so she is a shortie pie. The Doctor is a little concerned, so he said to make sure we keep her 15 month check up. We just want to make sure she is growing. She did have "flu-like" issues twice this year, so I am sure she lost weight both times. She was a pretty sick little girl. You can read about it here, here, and here!
Currently (I pray she stays healthy) she is not sick. I pray that she has a healthy bubble around her.

**Celebrations**~What a Weekend!~

I am sorry that I have been away from "The Land of Blog" over the weekend. We had company at our house. My Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law was here Friday-Sunday. It was a busy weekend. Friday night, Terry came home with a mixed bouquet of flowers and one single rose. He said the rose was for Madelyn's first birthday! You can let out an, "AHHH, OH..." because I thought it was super sweet, too! She got her very first rose from her Dad. Then, MIL and SIL came and we ate supper. Later that night, we watched Transformers. I have to say that is a great action movie! I bet it would have been awesome to see that on the big screen, but to no avail, we have a little 27 incher. It was still great, though! I would have taken out about 4 scenes do to content and visuals, but other than that, it rocked!
Saturday I did my WW meeting in the morning, and Nathaniel came with me. After not going for one week (so 2 weeks without weighing in) I had an unfortunate gain of 1.8 pounds. I know it may not seem much, but I was bumming. I really need to just buckle down and work harder at not being tempted by all the yummy foods! I am really happy that spring is right around the corner. After WW, we went to the Post Office and "tried" to mail some packages. I grabbed a box, envelope, and tape off the shelves, and sealed up the goods. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes, the clerks said, "Checks or cash only, because our machines are down." WHAT?? Who really carries cash or checks around anymore? So, after working it all out, I had to give them information and then go back there today (Monday) to pay for the materials and postage. Oh well, what was I to do?
After the Post Office, we went to Walmart. I had Nathaniel try on some jeans, and we were able to get some. It is really hard to find slim in his size, but I did manage to find 2 pair. We also picked up a few more groceries and necessities. Then, Saturday night we just hung out and watched another movie. We watched Chuck and Larry. Terry heard it was a good and funny movie. I guess it just isn't my cup of tea. I don't find gay things funny. Adam Sandler's movies don't really appeal to me because the humor is a bit crude and disgusting. Terry feel asleep about 15 minutes into the movie, so it really didn't spark his interest either. Really, it was a movie that I could have been better off not watching.
Sunday, we went to church in the morning. Then, I did a quick sweep, mop, and wash of the windows (taking those precious hand prints and dog nose prints off the windows) before the big party. It was Madelyn's First Birthday party! We had about 30

We got her to smile for the camera by playing "peek-a-boo" with a tiny bear that was dressed in a duck outfit. She loves her new little bear-duck that she got from Great Grandma Ruby!
Terry's Grandma made an adorable (and tasty) cake for Miss Madelyn...

And she just loved the kitty, she even said, "Meow!" She indulged her taste buds completely~

She had frosting, pink mind you, all over...in her hair, on her elbows, her arms, the chair...but not too much on her tights. She loved it! She has never had cake before (to my knowledge). The only other real "sugary" thing she has had is ice cream. That is a daily house hold term here.
She had so much fun filling her cute, little face. I wish this cake would add a little weight to her tiny little body!

She was blessed with many cute new clothes (super adorable!), books, a pink soccer ball, white patented shoes, Pediped shoes, head bands a snoring duck (that was a huge hit with Miss Madelyn), a play camera~that even flashes, a pink shovel, big pail, and a watering can for "helping out" this summer! Through all that she had a great day! She was exhausted at the end of the day, and so were we. She had a great time with family and friends! It was great to have our first "girlie" party! Thank you to the people who came that read my blog. It was a fun time, and thanks for making it so special for Madelyn! Happy birthday to my little Princess~ you are our daughter...and you are God's child! Thank you, God, for blessing us with Madelyn.

She loves that remote, too. She can even point that controller at the TV. Sometimes she even gets lucky and turns it on/off. Her new fun thing to do is to turn the TV on and off by standing in front of it and clicking the button. Caleb got frustrated with her this afternoon because she was turning it off when he was watching Super Why.

What a cute moment

Tonight we were all sitting down and eating supper...Pizza at that. Terry gave Madelyn some pizza, and I wasn't sure how she would do. She seemed to like it. Caleb leaned in toward her and said, "Maddie, is that num num?" As if on cue, Maddie did the whole head nodding with a "Yes" response! Isn't that just cute! I wish it was on video!

Madelyn can now stand from a crawling position. I know she is going to be walking soon. The other day she was practically running around the table as I was going to "get her!" She also thinks it is super funny when Lena licks her feet, or I use her feet on Lena. I love her giggle! Now to get her to smile for the camera....she can be stubborn.

Little Maddie

My sweet little Princess is only 2 weeks from turning 1!! I can't believe she is already hitting this great milestone! Today she just started something new. She will be crawling around, then she stops...and just stands up! It is so incredibly cute! She is a little smarty! She is signing, "MILK," too!! I love it! She is starting to put the concepts together about asking without words and crying. Have I mentioned that I LOVE Signing Time! videos! So does Madelyn! Everytime I put in the DVD, she starts smiling and dancing! She nods her head yes, too! It is so cute! She just started nodding yes last week, oh yeah, and she can say, "No."
