Madelyn woke up about 2:30 AM and I nursed her. I was only going to do one side, just to see how she would handle it, but with her persistance and hunger, I did both. She gave some good burps, to which I was ready to hold her over the bed with her mouth aimed at the bucket (just in case). She did ok, though. Then, she slept until 6:30 AM, and nursed again. I am thankful she is nursing now, but her appetite is minimal, and she has had one loose diaper. I am thinking she is on the mend. My prayer is that she will regain her appetite, Caleb and Claudia will not get this "bug", and that NO ONE will get sick anymore this year!

Update on Madelyn~
We made it through the night. I was so sad for Madelyn. She was so sleepy, and her mouth was dry. She wouldn't nurse or take anything. I finally squeezed water into her mouth with a wash cloth, and she sucked on it a little bit. Finally, after fighting with myself about staying up with her all night or not I went to bed at 1:00 A.M. with knowing that she had pretty much nothing in her little tummy. I was so worried about her. Trusting that God will take care of her and hold her threw the night can be hard sometimes. It is sometimes easier to think that we can control what happens in our life. When my kids have been so sick lately, I have really just placed my trust in Jesus. He is the God of all comfort and healing. I am not sure why the little ones have been so sick, probably because some people have bad habits of not washing their hands or people bringing their sick kids everywhere with them but I know that spring is almost here...so hopefully healthy days are ahead of us.

I covet your prayers~
