Wow Wow Wubbzy: A review and Giveaway!

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is a new cartoon on Nick Jr. and I had the chance to get their new DVD to review. Wubbzy is a curious little guy who likes to have fun. He is actively learning new things like, the importance of open-mindedness, honesty, and friendships. Wubbzy's two best friends are Widget and Walden. The three little guys live in Wuzzleburg. Wubbzy, Widget and Walden work together to resolve everyday problems. This DVD, which will release on September 23RD, has several mini fun-filled episodes. Here is a list of them:

A Tale of Tails, Special Delivery, Widget's Wild Ride, Attack of the 50-Foot Fleegle, Come Spy with Me, and Wubbzy Tells a Whopper. Plus, there are 2 bonus episodes: Mt. Fizzy Pop and Puddle Muddle. Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! A Tale of Tails includes a music video, games, printable, and a French language track.

I like that the episodes teach some great character traits like telling the truth and the effects of lying.

“Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!,” which has been a hit since its premiere on Nick Jr. in August, 2006, currently airs nearly 40 times a week on Nick Jr. and Noggin. The property has also partnered with dozens of high profile licensees, including Fisher Price, Hasbro, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster and Ty Beanie, among many others.. “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” was created by Bob Boyle and is a Bolder Media, Inc. production in association with Film Roman/Starz Media. Boyle, Susan Miller and Fred Seibert are the executive producers.

This new 92 minute release, “A Tale of Tails,” is available from Anchor Bay Entertainment for the suggested retail price of $16.98.

They're Back! Banana Splits!

The hugely popular costumed rock band from the ‘60s, Banana Splits, is back! I didn't grow up in the 60's, but if I did, I bet I would have enjoyed this group! The music of the new Banana Splits is catchy, upbeat, and fun. The music and videos on the Banana Split website are fun to watch. On the website, starting this month, kids ages 4-7 comedy shorts and music videos. Kids can also join the Banana Splits fan club. The website has phone number that kids can call (with their parents help and permission) to call in their funny joke. Then, they can keep checking the Banana Splits website to see if their joke is the featured joke of the week. There is also a way that kids can e-mail their comments to the Banana Splits.
Starting Sept 2, The Banana Splits will star in brand new comedy shorts and music videos on Cartoon Network. This Fab Four – Fleegle (a dog), Drooper (a lion), Bingo (a gorilla) and Snorky (an elephant) – is ready to introduce their unique style of humor and catchy music to a whole new generation of young fans. I think that Bingo is my favorite character, so far! It will be fun to see more of this Quad groupie on the Television show.

I think that this will be a fun comedy show for the kids to watch. I also like that the website is very kid friendly and easy to use. Go check them out~HERE.

Mr. Men Show!

Do you remember the Mr. Men and Little Miss books created in the 1970s by British author Roger Hargreaves? I think these characters were funny to read about! Which one was your favorite? I liked Miss Sunshine! I am really excited about something that has just launched:

Cartoon Network just premiered the first ever animated sketch comedy series for kids – The Mr. Men Show! The series is based on the original Mr. Men and Little Miss books. Children ages 4-7 will love this show, however, kids of all ages will be able to relate and laugh along… even mom and dad!

I love that "the good stuff" from my youth is returning. There are 25 characters with diverse personalities. Just to name a few: Mr. Bounce, Mr. Grumpy, Mr. Rude, Mr. Quiet and Little Miss Sunshine. They will teach your kids how even though regular conflict can occur among friends, everyone still manages to co-exist rather happily. The Mr. Men Show has a great website out complete with interactive games, coloring sheets, and desktop wallpaper for each character.
