Holiday Gift Guide: Scribblish: Game Review & Giveaway

I am a big-time game person, and our family loves having family game nights! I love learning about new games, and when I find them, I love letting others know about them. We are coming into the winter months, and it seems like families play more games during the winter months, I was recently introduced to a new game from the makers of Cranium called, Scribblish, and it is a really fun game!Did you play telephone when you were younger? You know, the game where you sit in a line, the first person (the operator) tells a person a secret, and that person has to relay (call) the next person in line. The secret travels down the line until it reaches the last person, and that person relays the message from the beginning. Hopefully, the message was clearly stated, and nothing got mixed up in the line of communication.
Scribblish, the new board game, is a lot like telephone, except you write your message on a paper....like pictionary.
Each person playing has a scroll, a piece of paper, a pen, and a certain level of drawing abilities. Each person slides the piece of paper into the scroll with the first line visible. Drawing a card, players choose which statement they want to do. Then, they write the statement, start the timer, and draw a picture to go with that statement. When the timer goes off, each player must slide the paper up enough so others will not see their drawing. One person rolls the dice, anddepending on what is revealed, players will move their scroll to the person on the right, left or put in the middle for a shuffle. Each player gets a new scroll. With a new scroll, players get to see just the picture drawn, then they get to write what they think the picture is saying. Another dice roll happens, and the new person with a different scroll writes a statement to go with the new picture. This happens over and over until the whole paper is full. At the end of the game, each person gets to choose which scroll they think is their original scroll, based on the last picture drawn, and puts a "MINE" token on it. Then, each player puts a "FUNNY" token on the caption, or drawing they think is the funniest. Players get tokens based on if they are right, or other players pick their drawing.
This is a great game for a fun family gathering, like for the Holidays, Birthdays, family game night, ladies night out, or other fun nights for games. I highly recommend this game! It is a great game for good laughs, creativity and imagination!

Wanchai Ferry Review & Giveaway

I love Chinese food, and I am not always able to head out to a Chinese Restaurant. Either the cost is a little high for our families appetite, or we just don't feel like taking all the kids with us. I was happy to review some food from Wanchai Ferry, because they have such a great selection of food options, they are affordable, and I can enjoy these in the comfort of my own home. Each package serves two, so our family needs about 3-4 bags, but it is such an easy preparation for our family to enjoy great tasting, restaurant quality, Chinese food.

We were sent the newest Wanchai Ferry flavor Beef & Broccoli package to review. I was amazed that everything for the meal was included in the packaging. There were an assortment of Asian-style vegetables, including broccoli florets, red peppers and water chestnuts. It even includes rice and a rich brown sauce accented with soy and garlic for an authentic flavor experience.
The beef and vegetables I sauteed in the pan, and while I was doing that, I steamed my rice in the microwave (in the included packaging). I was pleasantly surprised at how the rice was fluffy, great tasting, and was moist. The vegetables tasted really good, and they were perfect cuts. The beef pieces were great tasting, as well. The meal was a little spicy, and very filling, and I was eating my meal that was ready to serve in only 14 minutes. I recommend the Beef & Broccoli selection! I am excited to try the Shrimp Lo Mein and the Sweet & Sour Chicken. The other selections are: Orange Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken and Scechuan Style Chicken.

Additionally, all of the entrées have no added MSG!

About Wanchai Ferry
Madame Chong, from China, left her home to make dumplings in Hong Kong. The Wanchai district is one of the busiest commercial areas in Hong Kong, and so Madame Chong went there to start a new life, and to support her two daughters. In Wachai, people/shoppers/commuters would try to get to the pier, so they would take the Wanchai Ferry across.
Madame Chong started making her family recipe dumplings and sold them in a cart in Wanchai. With the attraction from many fans, and the word spreading about her great dumplings, she established the Wanchai Ferry Peking Dumpling Company in 1985. Since then, Wanchai Ferry as become the leading brand in Hong Kong and world wide.

Cascade Complete ~ Review & $25 Walmart Gift Card Giveaway!!

I love Blueberry Cobbler, and I recently made this super great dessert! I made the dessert for a 24-hour challenge. I was asked to try out the new Cascade Complete all-in-one Actionpacs, and with this challenge, I received a few items to help me take the challenge.
I got a baking dish, recipe for Blueberry Cobbler, and a package of the new Cascade Complete in the mail.
I was excited to make the dessert, and I couldn't believe how easy it was! I needed 2 cups of blueberries, 1 can of blueberry pie filling, 1 stick of butter, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and 2 packets of instant oatmeal. I mixed it all together, baked it, and enjoyed the dessert with our small group that meets at our house. Everyone really enjoyed the dessert, and there was no left overs. I let the baking dish sit out over night, and then loaded the dish in my dishwasher. I put in one pac of the Cascade Completes and let the dishwasher do my dishes.
I am happy with the results of how the Cascade worked. My baking dish was washed clean, and now it is ready to bake another Blueberry Cobbler!
Cascade Complete All-in-one ActionPacs are made with the Grease Fighting Power of Dawn, which gives you the scrubbing power of Cascade and the grease-fighting power of Dawn! It's the perfect combination for an amazing clean and they’re incredibly easy to use. You have to have dry fingers, and you just place the Action Pac in your dishwasher and close the latch. You don't need to unwrap anything, and you don't have any mess. I like how easy it is! I like that the proper amount is all ready, and I don't waste my cleaner. Sometimes when I pour in the detergent I over pour, which causes it to overflow, and it is wasteful. Cascade ActionPacs are made just right and easy to use.

Crayola makes great products for Christmas gifts! (review & giveaway)

Crayola has been around a long time, and they have super products that kids (of all ages) can enjoy. We recently got three new products from the Crayola line to review, and I am so excited about these products! My kids had so much fun trying these out, and now they are a new favored activity around the Sassyfrazz household!
Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song:
Color me a song is a drawing/coloring table that kids can color to music on. Kids can hear a drum, piano, guitar and/or a trumpet, and the music switches between different musical styles such as salsa, rock, swing and country. When kids slide a piece of paper into the slots on the board, music starts up. When kids start coloring the tune plays to their speed: slower, a slower tempo, and when they color faster the tempo picks up. The portable drawing and music creation station features a pressure-sensitive board that matches a melody to the artist´s pace. There is a great slide out storage for crayons when not in use. That is helpful!
Color Me a Song was named a "Toy of the Year" by Family Fun magazine and one of American Baby magazine´s picks for "Best Toys of the Year." For children 24 months and up; suggested retail price is $24.99.

Crayola Glow Station:
The Glow station is so fun, and makes no mess! This is the ultimate drawing pad for toddlers/preschoolers (in my opinion). Seriously, a drawing pad that kids will want to draw on, and if they get inclined to color with the wand off of the drawing pad~ no mess!
The Glow Station is a glow-in-the-dark pad and when kids draw on it with the light wand, their creations are illuminated! The Glow station comes with stencils, cut-outs and texture sheets to make fun pictures. The light wand can be used alone, or you can attach the diamond shaped crystal on the end to make amazing designs...my kids like the star-shapes it makes.
The drawings last a little while, even when you don't touch the light wand directly onto the Glow Station. After a few minutes the designs will disappear. One thing we found fun with the Glow Station: If you lay your arm on the glow station with the lights on, then turn off the lights and removing your arm...there is an impression on the Glow Station! Very fun product!
For children ages six and up; suggested retail price is $29.99.

Crayola Color Explosion Glow Dome:
The Glow Dome is a very fun product~ especially in the dark. The Glow dome comes with six special markers and stencil sheets. Kids can use the stencils to draw scenes on the dome, or use their own imagination. The center of the Glow Dome comes out, and can be laid onto a stencil for easy transfer, and kids just trace the picture onto the plastic center.
The Glow Dome comes with 2 sheets of stencils, but more can be downloaded online.
The outside of the Dome can be colored on, too. It was fun to see my children's creativity come to life. My oldest drew a man/alien on the outside and when he turned the dome on, the man was running around the outside of the Dome! How creative! The Dome has several settings for rotating the outside of the Dome to give dimension and life to your creation. On the inside, lights are displayed, and there a a few settings to change how the lights are displayed.
The kids were so excited when we turned out the lights and the Glow Dome lit up the room. I hope that my pictures can show you what fun these products can bring! I know my kids love them! For ages six and up; suggested retail price is $29.99.
Our family recommends these great Crayola products, and would like to suggest these items for your Christmas shopping.
Crayola would also like to share some exciting news about the Give the Gift of Creativity Sweepstakes, where you can enter to win a 7-night Caribbean cruise for a family of 4 on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas. I have never tasted a cereal that tasted so fruity before I tasted the new Trix Swirls cereal! The cereal was so colorful~ like tie dye. MyBlogSpark sent me the Creative Kid basket to review which included: one box of the new Twix Swirls cereal, a tie dye apron, watercolor paints, brushes, supply box, sketch paper and watercolor pencils.

Caleb was super excited to wear the apron, and it matched his new shirt that he just made, so that was very cool! The kids both loved the cereal, too.

It was such fun watching the kids create their masterpieces. They do the art activities almost daily, and the watercolor painting is top on their list now. We really had a great time reviewing the Trix Swirls cereal, and having fun with the Creative Kid gift basket!

Nature Valley Nut Clusters (review)

I have been introduced to something so yummy, and I can honestly say that this has become a new favorite snack. Being a member of MyBlogSpark, I get asked to review some products. This time I was asked to try out the new Nature Valley's Nut Clusters and I think they are great! The Nut Clusters are fun to eat, taste great, and is a healthier option for snacking. I was sent 4 bags, one of each flavor, of Nature Valley Nut Clusters to review.
I am not sure which one I would label as my favorite, because they all are great to snack on. I found them to be filling, too. I did share them with my husband and my kids, even though I could have indulged in them all on my own. :) My husband and kids loved them, too. I think my top two favorites would be the Honey Roasted Peanuts, and the Roasted Cashews. The other two flavors are the Nut Lovers and the Roasted Almond. The Nut Clusters are exactly what the name reveals: Nut Clusters, of good taste. The nuts are bunched together in a ball with some granola, krispie treats, and more. I like that you can read, and understand, the ingredients in each of the 4 bags of Nut Clusters. This makes me more confident about being sure what I put into my mouth.
I haven't seen this delicious, and nutritious snack on the store shelves yet, but I am on the look out.

Thanks to MyBlogSpark and Nature Valley for sponsoring this review, and letting me try these out! Our family appreciates it!
