jenerations Baby (hair and body care products)

My kids all have sensitive skin, and so I have to be careful what types of lotions, soaps, shampoos, etc. that I chose to use with them. I was excited to review a natural and organic line from Mom-Invented jenerations baby. I received the Seriously Sensitive Shampoo/Bodywash and the Hair gel for review.

Lately I have opted to give Cole his baths in our sink. This saves water, and it is easier on our back. I am not so sure it saves too much water, though, because he is loving to splash! Anyway, I tried out the Shampoo/body wash from jenerations baby, and we loved it! The smell is wonderful, and it is so gentle on his little skin. I love that jenerations baby is safe for my children's precious skin~no sulfates, parabens or tea tree oil and lavender. I recently found out that lavender can disrupt a child's hormone levels. Did you know that?
jenerations baby is a line of organic body and hair care products for babies and children founded by mompreneur Jennifer Reilly. Jennifer is a salon owner, and wanted to develop products to perform to salon standards, all the while being safe for children's skin~especially her own two children. The jenerations baby line is completely hypoallergenic (which totally excites me), physician-tested and includes two versions of children’s shampoo/body wash, detangling conditioner, moisturizing lotion, and even hair gel, all made with only the safest natural and organic ingredients.
Cole is really excited about the jenerations baby shampoo/wash, and our family gives the products two thumbs up! jenerations Baby Shampoo/Body wash is retailed at $13/8.5 oz. bottle. Nathaniel, my 11 year old, used the hair gel in his hair. It looked and worked great! NO offensive smell, no super crunchy hair, and it looked great in his hair. Another great product and made naturally and organically.

Products are available at http://www.jenerationsbaby.com/ , buy buy Baby, http://www.babiesrus.com/ and many other stores throughout the U.S.

Suave Beach Beauty

This summer, I was asked to review some Suave Products and check out some tips from George Kotsiopoulos(Celebrity Stylist to celebrity moms Courtney Cox Arquette and Heidi Klum). We all know, as busy moms...frazzled, hurried, and lack of time, how we can feel not very pretty or glamorous. Especially when summer is here, and we are dealing with hot, humid air, and our kids are sticking to us like glue. Well, Suave Professionals products are a great way to get quality salon flare, at a fraction of the cost! I got these products to review for Suave for my personal review and opinion:
· Suave Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream
· Suave Professionals Damage Care Shampoo and Conditioner
· Suave Kids Free and Gentle 2 in 1 Shampoo
I really like the Suave hair care products. I like the smell and the way my hair feels when I use them. I think my hair is softer, and shiner after using Suave Professionals. My kids love the smell of the Strawberry Shampoo from Suave! I love the thickness of the shampoo, and how well it lathers up in their hair.

Here are some tips that George would like all moms to know for those hot summer days:
(maybe you have a trip planned for those southern states this winter?)
**To flaunt this summer’s ethnic-inspired fashions, mom can steer clear of pricey department stores and instead do some strolling in the ethnic pockets of her city (think Chinatown and Indiatown). Mom will be sure to turn heads in amazing imports (that she found at great prices!) such as saris, embellished ballet flats and bangles.
**Swimsuit, sandals and sunglasses are the essentials mom needs for a hot day at the beach. She can look for swimsuit separates (rather than sets) to ensure the best fit tailored to her body. For sandals, mom can turn to affordable, rubber flip-flops for her and the family or do some online, comparison shopping to find designer sandal steals. To finish the look, every mom needs a pair of high-style yet low-priced sunglasses in a fun color or classic shape (think Ray-Ban® aviators and “cat eyes”) to add a touch of glam.
**This summer, mom can pass on purchasing a designer tote and instead revive and update her beach bag from last season! Mom can have last year’s sand and surf stains removed from her tote by dropping it off at a local shoe repair shop for a good cleaning. She can then source vintage consignment shops for a one-of-a-kind scarf to tie on her tote’s handle for an instant update.
**When it comes to clothes, keeping up with little ones’ growth spurts can be an expensive endeavor! Instead of purchasing a whole new summer wardrobe, mom can give kids’ clothes a chop to extend their use. Children especially outgrow the length of pants quickly, but a pair of shears (or a trip to the tailor for a more finished look) is a great way to keep khakis and jeans around just a bit longer.
**Although mom might be tempted to stay cool during the summer in a pair of shorts and tee shirt, she can dress it up a notch by opting for easy, breezy dresses that will keep her looking polished and prevent overheating. Choosing shapeless, short shifts is a great way to show off gams and empire styles are a trendy option perfect for hiding the sins of winter (hey, after all the work she put in, mom deserved those holiday treats!).
**Mom can help her hubby lighten up this summer by trading in his heavy denim jeans for a pair of summer trousers in lightweight cotton. Mom can also swap out his heavy leather belt for a super affordable colorful canvas one that can be purchased at a local army/navy surplus store.

Sparklehearts (Organic Skincare) Review and Giveaway!

I love when Moms invent a great product that not only works great, but it is safe to use with our children. Moms know what is best, right? I was very anxious to review the new line of bath products from Sparklehearts! I was sent a bottle of Shine Shampoo and Rainbow Soft Conditioner. I love the smell, and so do my children! I think it smells like a sweet berry, like strawberries. We use the Shampoo every bath time, and the kids love pumping the soap into their own hands. The Shampoo lathers well, and after one pump, I even have enough to wash their ears and neck.
I love the Sparklehearts products because they are free of harmful ingredients that many other hair care, and body products carry. Sparklehearts products have real and natural ingredients like Shea Butter, coconut, essential oils, green tea extract and more. I can feel confident that the ingredients won't hurt my kids, or be harmful on their skin.
The other Sparklehearts product I tried was the Rainbow Soft Conditioner. I am also very impressed with it! My daughter's hair can get so snarly, especially in the morning after sleeping. She has such curly hair. I love putting the Rainbow Soft conditioner in her hair because it makes her hair silky-smooth. I think that the name is very fitting, because it does what it says..."soft." It even keeps her hair more manageable after hours of sleeping on it! That is impressive!
Sparklehearts was created by Moms for their daughters. After having a hard time finding good hair care products for their daughters, Hilary Orr and Darcy McMahon, researched and designed the Sparklehearts line. Hilary's daughter came up with the name, and it is quite fitting for the natural, chemical-free products!
Another great feature of the Sparklehearts products is they are USA made, never tested on animals and are packaged bottles using 100% post-consumer recycled materials. There are currently five Sparklehearts products to choose from: Shine Shampoo and Rainbow Soft Conditioner (I tested these two, and I absolutely love them....and so do my kids)!, Peace Out No Knots Hair Detangler, Bubbling Blooms Body Wash and Sweet Hearts Sparkly Body Lotion. Each of Sparklehearts products are $12.49.
Sparklehearts website can be a fun place for girls to check out for more than the products they carry! Girls can also log on to sparklehearts.com to read about their products, become a fan of them on Facebook or create their own Sparkleheart design, or create a Sparkleheart e-card. The free design program makes it easy for anyone to create their own colorful, personalized design. When they’re finished, users can either save it to their computer to use as wallpaper, or print it onto an iron-on transfer for a one-of-a-kind T-shirt!
Want to win some Sparklehearts? You can enter to win one of the 5 products available. Please go to the Sparklehearts site and pick out your favorite, or the one you would like to try most. For an extra chance to win, you can become a fan of theirs on facebook. (you can also do the "extra credits" I offer for my giveaways~see past contests). This contest is open to those in the USA and will end on June 30th.

Suave Hair Care

Ever have hair issues? You know, Frizz, no lift, loss of color quickly? I am sure you don't have those problems! Come on, we all struggle with different issues...maybe dryness? Suave Hair products offer help to our hair's needs. Luke O'Connor, Suave celebrity hair stylist, help keep stars (and moms) like Deborah Messing and Brooke Shields looking their best!
I really like the samples that Suave sent me! I got samples of Suave Professionals Vibrant Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, Suave Professionals Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner, Suave Professionals Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner, Suave Professionals Extra Hold Mousse, and Suave Professionals Extra Hold Hairspray. I also got to sample their Tropical Paradise deodorant. I would say their deodorant is very much like the one I use currently, and it smells great too! I think the Shampoos/Conditioners work great, too! I usually use Salon Hair care products, actually most of the time, and I would say that Suave is similar in some cases. I didn't think that the Extra Hold Hairspray held very well, but I do have very fine hair. I like that Suave Professionals are affordable. When you need to watch your dollars close, picking out a good shampoo/conditioner while being wise with your money, it is safe to say that Suave Professionals is a good choice.

Oopsy Daisy! Cutie Pie Curlz: A review and GIVEAWAY!

Contest is now over! Congratulations to kristilb19! Thanks to all who entered, and thanks the Oopsy Daisy! for sponsoring the review and giveaway!

I remember when I was little, my hair was long, and I winced every time my mom combed my hair after bath time. She didn't use conditioner, so my hair had less tangles, so she used the phrase, "It's painful to be beautiful," a lot when she did my hair. I am happy to report that I won't have to use that phrase on my daughter (at least not after bath time) with the use of Oopsy Daisy! Cutie Pie Curlz leave in conditioner & detangler. This is a super product that will ease the pain of combing after bath time. This is an ALL NATURAL leave in conditioner and detangler. It has a natural essential oil-based scent: sweet pea, grapefruit and lavender. I think it smells so good, and I love it, too! It is recommended for birth and up...so, I can say I can use it, too! I really like that it contains NO parabens, SLS, DEA, formaldehyde, propylene glycol, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals or harsh preservatives! I can use this on wet or dry hair, which is convenient, too! Oopsy Daisy! also carries other products to help manage hair in a natural and painless way that I would love to try out! I would love to try their High Chair Hair Care! Maddie does wonders with her hair and the mouse made from her food. I would love to see how this product could take that food out, just with some squirts of the shampoo, rub through the hair, and dry. Looks amazing!
Debby DeOliveira, mom of two girls, is the very smart mom who is the creator of Oopsy Daisy! Products! I think she deserves high praise for her efforts and success with Oopsy Daisy products!
Would you like to win your own bottle of Oopsy Daisy! Cutie Pie Curlz (valued at $18.00)? Debby is offering a bottle for a lucky Sassyfrazz reader! This contest is open to all living in the US.
