Blue Like Play Dough (Review & Giveaway)

In the everyday stretch and squeeze of motherhood, Tricia Goyer often feels smooshed by the demands of life. In Blue Like Play Dough, she shares her unlikely journey from rebellious, pregnant teen to busy wife and mom with big dreams of her own. As her story unfolds, Tricia realizes that God has more in store for her than she has ever imagined possible. Sure, life is messy and beset by doubts. But God keeps showing up in the most unlikely places–in a bowl of carrot soup, the umpteenth reading of Goodnight Moon, a woe-is me teen drama, or play dough in the hands of a child. In Tricia’s transparent account, you’ll find understanding, laughter, and strength for your own story. And in the daily push and pull, you’ll learn to recognizes the loving hands of God at work in your life… and know He has something beautiful in mind.

Right now I'm enduring a daughter with a strong mind of her own: "I thought you were going to be nice to Mommy?" "I'm not being nice. I be nicer to-morrow!"

The hardest thing to do sometimes is to discipline your child without laughing.

I worry a lot about my kids more so since they are 17 and 19 now and there are so many temptations out there for them to get into. And they do such stupid stuff at that age and think nothing of it or their future!

Motherhood has definitely made me a more flexible and patient person. Some days just don't go the way you plan them and you need to just go with the flow.

I've had to endure colic, sleepless nights, and now living with ADD with my children.

My daughter is older so what I endure is being told about what I don't know. Funny, how the world doesn't change too much.

I am lucky, though. She is grateful to take advice on what I do know. :)

Parenthood taught me not to judge. After 3 easy, wonderful kids I got one who has tested me everyday.

Motherhood has taught me how to love. It has made me a more forgiving person and I will now ask for help, when before I was too proud.

I am the mother of five children. My youngest is 14. I have had many good times and many hard times. Being a mother has shaped me into a person who realizes that many of the things we get upset about aren't really that important. I love being a mom and enjoy my kids.

I am a new mom of twins and am surprised at the things I have learned about myself. I didn't know I could go months on 4 hrs of sleep a night and I didn't know I could love so much. Even when I can be away from them, I don't want to be. Thanks for the giveaway. theprophecygirl at hotmail dot com
