Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas movie review

Emmet and Ma – a poor but tight-knit family of otters are struggling to make ends meet during the holidays, in this classic Jim Henson's musical. Wanting to win some extra cash, Ma and Emmet Otter enter the local talent contest. Frogtown Hollow (without Kermit) are full of musical critters. The thing the critters learn most is that family is the greatest gift of all.
Included in the DVD are interviews with the actual people that "puppeted" Emmet and some of the other characters. You get to see behind the scenes footage of the people on the set doing their work, as well as the people who made the Puppets/Muppets. I thought it was very interesting how they got Emmet to row the boat on the River that flows through Frogtown Hollow. Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, a ground-breaking television special from The Jim Henson Company that debuted on HBO in 1977, received many awards for its endearing holiday story. Available on a fully-loaded DVD November 4, 2008, from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment. The original songs are by Academy Award winning composer Paul Williams.
Included on the DVD are special features· Sing-A-Long · Emmet Otter’s Favorite Tunes · Emmet Otter Behind the Scenes Documentary · Bloopers · The Lost Song · Deleted Scenes & Photo Gallery
Suggested retail price of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas is $14.98. It has a running time of 50 minutes. You can purchase your video here.

You know, I have never seen Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, even though I love, love, love John Denver and the Muppets Christmas special. (I love it so much I wore out my tape -- yes, a cassette tape -- of it in college. It has been replaced.)
