Wanchai Ferry Review & Giveaway

I love Chinese food, and I am not always able to head out to a Chinese Restaurant. Either the cost is a little high for our families appetite, or we just don't feel like taking all the kids with us. I was happy to review some food from Wanchai Ferry, because they have such a great selection of food options, they are affordable, and I can enjoy these in the comfort of my own home. Each package serves two, so our family needs about 3-4 bags, but it is such an easy preparation for our family to enjoy great tasting, restaurant quality, Chinese food.

We were sent the newest Wanchai Ferry flavor Beef & Broccoli package to review. I was amazed that everything for the meal was included in the packaging. There were an assortment of Asian-style vegetables, including broccoli florets, red peppers and water chestnuts. It even includes rice and a rich brown sauce accented with soy and garlic for an authentic flavor experience.
The beef and vegetables I sauteed in the pan, and while I was doing that, I steamed my rice in the microwave (in the included packaging). I was pleasantly surprised at how the rice was fluffy, great tasting, and was moist. The vegetables tasted really good, and they were perfect cuts. The beef pieces were great tasting, as well. The meal was a little spicy, and very filling, and I was eating my meal that was ready to serve in only 14 minutes. I recommend the Beef & Broccoli selection! I am excited to try the Shrimp Lo Mein and the Sweet & Sour Chicken. The other selections are: Orange Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken and Scechuan Style Chicken.

Additionally, all of the entrées have no added MSG!

Madame Chong, from China, left her home to make dumplings in Hong Kong. The Wanchai district is one of the busiest commercial areas in Hong Kong, and so Madame Chong went there to start a new life, and to support her two daughters. In Wachai, people/shoppers/commuters would try to get to the pier, so they would take the Wanchai Ferry across.
Madame Chong started making her family recipe dumplings and sold them in a cart in Wanchai. My kids love eating pasta, noodle meals. If they could, I am sure they would eat these kind of meals most always. Our family goes through a lot of pasta, not only is it a more affordable meal

to make for a large family, but it goes a long way. I have been searching the nutrition facts on the boxes of pasta, and it can be a challenge finding a pasta that offers lower calories and higher fiber, but still be affordable. Rozoni's Smart Taste is a great tasting pasta/noodle and it offers the higher fiber and lower calories, yet it isn't over priced. Our family has made the switch over to Smart Taste over other brands because we love the taste, it is lower calories, and it is in our budget. We have tried other brands in the past, and we really can't taste any difference between the brands, so it is an easy choice.

Our family loves the Rozoni Smart Taste pasta! We made the Spaghetti noodles with Vodka cream sauce and grilled chicken, and it was delicious! Our kids happily ate their meal, as you can see in the photos, and they all wanted seconds. The family doesn't notice any difference in the taste of the pastas, and for the nutritional values of the Smart Taste, our family will eat Smart Taste!

Noodles & Company

I love trying out new restaurants, and I just recently went to one that hasn't been around that long: Noodles & Company. I found it to be a great sit down restaurant, with made-to-order meals, fast service, and family/kid friendly. The prices of their menu items were reasonable, and you can add meat and pick the size of your order. I like that they had several menu items to choose from, and most of their meals where filled with vegetables.
We took our family to Noodles & Company, and we had a great time! My Mother-in-Law, husband's aunt and Grandma came with us. We all thought the food and atmosphere were great!

Nathaniel ordered the big bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup. He said it was the best Chicken Noodle Soup he ever had. The soup had big noodles and pieces of chicken in it. It was a big serving, but Nathaniel ate all of it. Soup is a fun food for kids to eat, and when it is loaded with vegetables like carrots, they are getting a daily serving as needed.

Caleb loved the Macaroni and Cheese. We ordered it with meatballs, and it was the best Mac & Cheese I have ever tasted, too. The Macaroni and Cheese from Noodles & Company is made with Wisconsin Cheeses, and it is very creamy.

Cole had some of Caleb's Macaroni and Cheese, and he had some of Madelyn's Spaghetti and Meatballs. He ate really well, and enjoyed his food. Spaghetti sauce is a great way to blend up vegetables into a child's meal. I think it is a great way to load up on the vegetables without your child knowing they are eating them.

My husband's Grandma, Mother and Aunt each ordered a bowl of noodles as well. They all enjoyed their meals, and said that they were impressed with Noodles & Company. None of us had been there before, but I am sure all of us will return!

I ordered the Bangkok Curry which was very, very good! I added shrimp to my meal, as well! I love stir fry, and this menu item is very similar with great vegetables like broccoli, carrots, mushrooms and onions. I was very impressed with the taste of this scrumptious meal, and I thought the serving size was just right. I was very impressed with the speedy service, too. Noodles & Company makes their meals as ordered, so you always get fresh.

My husband ordered the Penne Rosa, and he loved it. The spicy and creamy tomato sauce was delicious. I tasted his meal, as well, and it was great! He added chicken to complete his bowl of noodles.

You can dine in or take your meal to go; either way, your sautéed-to-order meal is usually ready in about 5 minutes.

Cole tried a lemon wedge for the first time. He wasn't affected with the taste so much, and he had fun sucking on it.

One of the managers came to our table and asked if it was our first time there. She asked us if we were enjoying ourselves and if the food was good. We think that we had great customer service during our visit.

We had left overs so we asked for a take home box. I think the box is fun and innovative.

Trying to get my children to eat their vegetables is sometimes a challenge. I am so glad to see restaurants stepping up to include vegetables into the menu items, and in a way that isn't so noticeable.

I highly recommend Noodles & Company! Our family had delicious food, that was served fresh and quick. I think it is a great alternative to greasy fast food. The cost is comparable to other fast food restaurants, however you get the family sit-down experience. We will be back to Noodles & Company to try more of their menu items.

Healthy Choice tastes great, and is good for you!

I am trying to eat more healthy, and I would like to shed some of my weight, OK...a lot of my excess. I used to be on Weight Watchers, and I did a super job being strict with what I put in my mouth. Now, two years later...went through pregnancy and a baby...I need to get off the new weight gain.
I just recently reviewed two entrees from Healthy Choice and Mom Central. I got two very tasty choices, and I am thrilled that these two options are healthy, and Weight Watcher friendly! I got these two: Tortellini Primavera Parmesan and Creamy Basil Pesto. Both of the entrees were delicious but my favorite of the two was the Creamy Basil Pesto (plus, my toddler and preschooler loved it). I really liked that these entrees were just enough to satisfy a hunger, and were low in points (for Weight Watchers). The Healthy Choice All Naturals are higher in fiber and lower in fat which is a great combination for losing weight.
I was telling my husband that measuring, counting, calculating and planning Weight Watcher friendly meals was a challenging task for me. I have four children, and three of them are four years old. So, life is a bit busy. I told him I should stock our freezer with the Healthy Choice meals and entrees to make my planning a little easier. I know that frozen meals may cost a bit more than making a larger meal, but for ease of mind and having the calculations done for me...makes my life as a mom a lot easier!

Hickory Farms makes a great gift for Christmas~

My Dad was an Insurance Agent when I was little, and we got a special, and thoughtful gift almost every year from one of his customers. We loved this gift, because it was a tasty treat, and it was great to fed us when we were hungry! The great gift was a gift basket with meat, cheeses, sometimes fruit, and fun strawberry candies. I am pretty sure that the baskets we received were from Hickory Farms. I think, as an adult now, this gift is a superb gift to give someone whom you don't really know what to get them, or if you think they have most everything they need. I recently reviewed a wonderful gift basket filled with delicious meats, cheeses (block and ball style), crackers, and candies from Hickory Farms. The display of the basket was gorgeous, and the basket was delivered securely. I think that Hickory Farms takes great pride in their products and services, from how they delivered their product and what it was all about. We brought our basket of goodies to our family Thanksgiving Day get-together, and everyone enjoyed the appetizers. The Hickory Farms basket had a few different flavors of the meat and cheese, and it was fun to taste the differences. I recommend Hickory Farms and think that their products/services are great and make fun gifts to share with others.

Kellogg's Froot Loops and Apple Jacks cereals NOW with fiber!

Most moms want the best nutrition for their kids, and it starts off with a good healthy breakfast. Sometimes it is nice to let kids have a bit of sugar to their breakfast, and sugar cereal can be a treat. I didn't grow up with the sugar cereal, because my mom never bought it. I occasionally buy it for my kids, but due to not much nutritional value, I tend to keep them on the shelf. Being a Mom Tester with Mom Central, I get the opportunity to test and try new products. I was sent a box of Kellogg's Fruit Loops and three other boxes to test. Know what? Kellogg's cereal is now available with the option of FIBER. Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks are now available with 3 grams of fiber per serving! That is great! I love that, because fiber is one thing that kids and adults do not get enough of in their diet.
Kellogg's thought of a great solution to add fiber to the diet. With my taste-testing, and my kids testing, we have found that Fruit Loops without fiber and Fruit Loops with fiber are comparable in taste, texture, and looks. I think that both versions of the Fruit Loops both taste like sugar cereal, and it is kid-approved.
Kellogg's started putting the added fiber in with two kids' favorites: Apple Jacks and Fruit Loops cereals. These cereals are now available on store shelves. These cereals include ingredients such as whole-grain corn flour, whole-grain oat flour, oat fiber and soluble corn fiber. In addition, Kellogg Company plans to extend the added fiber benefits to their other cereal lines over the next year. Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks cereals have added fiber while maintaining the same great taste, making breakfast an easy place for kids to get the fiber they need without the battle.

Our family enjoyed these two new options of cereal from Kellogg's. I am happier with the fiber added bonus, too! We recommend these two options over the original Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks. Thanks Kellogg's!

I enjoy bringing quick and easy snacks or foods to the park or on outings with the kids, like to the zoo. I have always been a fan of Oscar Mayer Lunchables, and I was excited to try out the new

Oscar Mayer Lunchables. My kids love getting the lunchables, because they are tasty, fun, and a treat. I like that they are healthy options for a fun treat or lunch. I like to give my kids better-for-them lunchtime options, and the new Lunchables line of Oscar Mayer Lunchables Lunch Combinations, is a great way to go.

The Lunchables Lunch Combos come with new items, like spring water, sub sandwiches and applesauce.
The six new varieties include: Turkey + Cheddar Sub Sandwich, Ham + American Sub Sandwich, Turkey + Cheddar Cracker Combos, Ham +American Cracker Combos, Deep Dish Cheese Pizza and Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza. Both the Turkey + Cheddar Sub Sandwich and Deep Dish Cheese Pizza meet the Kraft Foods Sensible Solution criteria for nutritional value. We got the Deep Dish Cheese pizza, which is microwavable, and tasted good. My kids enjoyed having a mini pizza for snack. I liked that the pizza is made with Kraft 2% cheese, and the crust is whole grain. I think that the Oscar Mayer Lunchables are made with quality products.
The product line also offers the following enhancements:

Give your kids healthier choices with Earthbound Farm this school year! (plus a contest)

It can be a challenge to send healthy options in our kid's lunches, whether it is to school, or for a picnic lunch. I know it can be hard to send fruits that are easy to eat (like cut up) and trying to keep them fresh! Wendy's Boneless Chicken Wings

We were running errands today, and I went by a Wendy's and realized that I had yet to try the new boneless Chicken Wings! I thought they sounded great, especially since I was hungry. So, I went through the drive-thru and ordered the Honey BBQ flavored Chicken Wings. I was surprised at how many I got in the container! I didn't count how many, but I think there was about 8 chicken pieces. They reminded me of chicken nuggets, but they tasted better. I really thought the BBQ was tasty! Two of my sons wanted to try them out, too, and they loved them! So, I know what to get them on our next trip to Wendy's!Wendy’s has three flavors to chose from for the boneless chicken wings: Honey BBQ, Bold Buffalo, and Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken. I am not a big spice eater, so I chose not to try the other two. I know my husband will want to try the Bold Buffalo and the Sweet & Spicy Asian, though. Wendy's offers hearty salads, frosty malts and chicken sandwiches for a summer meal, too. Wendy’s new boneless chicken wings are made with 100% whole chicken breast. They have the delicious taste of boneless wings you get in a sit-down restaurant, and, paired with a side salad, offer a great fast food alternative for us Moms!I recommend trying the new Wendy's Boneless Chicken Wings. Our family sure enjoyed them, and I am sure we will have them again.

Santa Cruz Organic and R.W. Knudsen (Review and 3 HUGE giveaways)!

Our family has become more aware of what we put into our mouth, and knowing if we are putting "pure" products into our bodies. I am a firm believer that we all feel better, and can function better with less chemically made foods entering our systems. I am even more careful about what my kids are getting for their snacks and meals, and trying to give them healthier options with their food. I was thrilled to review products from Santa Cruz Organic and R.W. Knudsen Family. Santa Cruz Organic sent me 2 jars of their Organic Peanut Butter. I love the taste of this peanut butter, and I greatly appreciate that Santa Cruz products are real...no chemicals to corrupt the ingredients. The Peanut Butter from Santa Cruz tastes just like crushed peanuts. You need to stir the peanut butter when you first open the jar, due to settling...then you store it in the refridgerator to keep it fresh. Santa Cruz Organic Peanut Butters are made with USDA certified organic peanuts and have unique flavor profiles made up of both light and dark roast varieties. I am not sure which I prefer between the dark or light roast, but both are extremely delicious and good for you! Even though I am usually a "Creamy Only" when it comes to peanut butter, I really liked Santa Cruz Organic Cruchy peanut butter. Santa Cruz peanut butters were one of the few brands NOT recalled this winter.

I was also able to review the Santa Cruz Organic Fruit sauces in the variety of flavors: Apple Blackberry, Apple Apricot, Apple Cinnamon, and Apple Raspberry. My kids love the Apple Cinnamon the best, but I really like the variety. It is nice to pull out a new one each day, and have something new. I think it is super that the Fruit Sauces from Santa Cruz are made from organic fruit and provides 100 percent of the USDA recommended daily value of vitamin C. The single serving cups are great to add to a lunch to work, school, picnic, or other. I am excited that Santa Cruz offers such great products that parents can give to their kids and know that it is good for them! I think my favorite flavor of the Fruit Sauces is the Apple Blackberry.

The Sensible Sippers from R.W. Knudsen Family are just as flavorful as other brand juice boxes, however, you don't have the same sugar and calories! R.W. Knudsen Family juice boxes are made with 50% organic juice and 50% water. Each contains 40% less calories than traditional juices boxes and the 4-ounce boxes make it easier for tot’s petite hands to handle. Flavors include apple, mixed berry, tropical and banana. I was sent the mixed berry and the apple flavors, and both are great tasting...and my kids love them. They really enjoy the Berenstain Bears, too...and that is the logo/theme on the Sensible Sippers. I would love to try the Banana and Tropical flavors for the Sensible Sippers, too. I love this option for a juice box for my kids...healthier and smaller portions.

Kellogg's Cinnabon snack bars

I love Cinnamon rolls, even though they aren't that good for watching my calorie intake. Mom Central offered the opportunity to review the new Kellogg's Cinnabon bars and I was right on board. I was so thankful that I was able to try these delicioussnacks~ and so were my kids! We got a whole box (6 bars) in the mail. We couldn't wait to try them out. We took one out of the wrapper, put it on a plate, and heated in the microwave for about 10 seconds. (we have an older microwave so it takes a little longer). The smell was wonderful! The taste was delicious and was very similar to cinnabon rolls. The cookie outside was filled with brown sugar and cinnamon, and it was glazed with a cream cheese frosting. MMMmmmm~ good, and only 150 calories per bar.
I like that these bars taste good heated up, and just right out of the package. I preferred to heat them up, though. I love the warm taste of the Cinnabon! I am sure that we will have to get Kellogg's™ Cinnabon™ Snack Bars in a upcoming trip to the grocery store. Thank you, Mom Central for sending our family a box to try. Nature Valley Nut Clusters (review)

I have been introduced to something so yummy, and I can honestly say that this has become a new favorite snack. Being a member of MyBlogSpark, I get asked to review some products. This time I was asked to try out the new Nature Valley's Nut Clusters and I think they are great! The Nut Clusters are fun to eat, taste great, and is a healthier option for snacking. I was sent 4 bags, one of each flavor, of Nature Valley Nut Clusters to review.
I am not sure which one I would label as my favorite, because they all are great to snack on. I found them to be filling, too. I did share them with my husband and my kids, even though I could have indulged in them all on my own. :) My husband and kids loved them, too. I think my top two favorites would be the Honey Roasted Peanuts, and the Roasted Cashews. The other two flavors are the Nut Lovers and the Roasted Almond. The Nut Clusters are exactly what the name reveals: Nut Clusters, of good taste. The nuts are bunched together in a ball with some granola, krispie treats, and more. I like that you can read, and understand, the ingredients in each of the 4 bags of Nut Clusters. This makes me more confident about being sure what I put into my mouth.
I haven't seen this delicious, and nutritious snack on the store shelves yet, but I am on the look out.

Celebrate Life with Truffles!! ~Chocolate giveaway!!

I don't know what it is, but lately, I just love chocolate. I really didn't get cravings for chocolate, or really felt like I "need" chocolate. Things have changed. I admit, I love and crave chocolate. I think Family Review Network knew I was craving chocolates, because I was asked and selected to review for the company Celebrate Life Nutrition! I was sent some wonderful chocolate samples that were going to work for my good! I was sent 2 boxes of truffles to sample, and these truffles are made with the intent to satisfy and control my hunger! First of all, I love the taste of the Celebrate Chocolates! I had a variety pack that had 3 pieces of chocolate in it~ three different flavors, called the Celebrate Truffle Creations. I loved the design/look on the chocolates. There was a Cherry, Almond, and Raspberry chocolate. I think my favorite was the Raspberry. My kids tasted the chocolates, and loved the taste, too. My son said they had a weird after taste, but I didn't think so.
The other box of chocolates I got to review was the Celebrate Truffle Classics: which had 3 pieces of dark (73% cocoa) and light chocolate (62% cocoa). I am not usually a dark chocolate fan, but the dark chocolates from Celebrate Nutrition is really good. I love that the company uses natural products, and that I can read and understand the ingredients. No chemicals. Celebrate Nutrition uses a rare cocoa: Criollo cocoa. Along with the cocoa, they use a special blend of natural plant oils - Avocado, Macadamia nut, and Hemp seed oils.
Controlling your appetite can be a challenge, but Celebrate Nutrition offers a solution to controlling your hunger by eating a couple of pieces 15-20 minutes before meals, or when you feel hungry. I tried this out, and it seems to work pretty good. I am not sure if it is because I am eating a yummy chocolate, or if it is because the chocolate is somewhat filling. I didn't feel extremely hungry when we were sitting down to eat.
Either way, it was a great option to have a treat before a meal.

Trying to be creative, and getting ideas for supper isn't really a strength of mine. Sometimes I am inspired with a new concoction, but I usually look online or in a recipe book. My family loves new meals, and I was thankful to check out MakingLifeBetter.com.

Pastry for single-crust pie
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 small sweet onion or leek, thinly sliced (about 1/4 cup)
1/2 lb. fresh asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (about 4 oz.)
1/2 cup Hellmann’s or Best Foods Canola Cholesterol Free Mayonnaise
2 eggs
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 cup milk
Preheat oven to 375°. In 9-inch pie plate, arrange crust. With fork, pierce bottom of crust. Bake on heated cookie sheet 15 minutes or until golden; set aside.
Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat and cook onion, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until tender. Add asparagus and cook 3 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender. Turn into pie plate, then evenly top with cheese.
In small bowl, with wire whisk, blend Hellmann’s or Best Foods Canola Cholesterol Free Mayonnaise, eggs, mustard and pepper. Slowly whisk in milk until smooth; pour into pie plate. Bake, on heated cookie sheet, on lower rack in oven, 25 minutes or until set and lightly browned.

Natural Sweetness!

I am trying to be more natural with products that we use, and especially things my family and I put in our mouth. It really is amazing the difference our bodies can feel when we eat better and healthier! Just recently, I started back up with Weight Watchers, and this has made me even more aware of what I am choosing to eat. I know that sugar products can sure put on the extra pounds, so I am interested in using a different source to add the sweetness. There are two products that I have been recently asked to review: Steviva and Fructevia.
Steviva is a pure sweet powder that is from the organic stevia leaves, the "Stevia Rebaudiana" bush. When refined into a white powder extract (stevioside), Stevia becomes 200-300 times sweeter than sugar and sweetens without raising blood sugar levels. What is really amazing with Stevia is there are no calories, carbs,artificial ingredients or fillers~ PURE AND NATURAL! Steviva increases energy and aids digestion by stimulating the pancreas, and doesn't harm healthy teeth. Sugar does the opposite, I know from experience that sugar can give me a quick energy boost, then I usually crash. You can cook with Stevia, depending on the recipe. You can find recipes on the website (Steviva.com). I think Steviva is a better option to sugar for these health reasons, and because it will help you not take in extra weight that sugar would supply. Steviva is available in 1.3 ounce bottles, 1 kg. bags, bulk, and more. You can find them in the natural heath section of your local grocery stores.
Fructevia is a new product from Stevia, and it tastes just like sugar! You know what? You only use half of Fructevia as you would sugar because it is much sweeter! Plus, Fructevia has only 5 calories per packet, and one packet equals 2 tsp. of sugar. Fructevia is a proprietary and patented blend of all natural ingredients Fructose, FOS, Stevia and Magnesium Carbonate. It contains no GMO's, gluten or chemicals. It is safe for diabetics, low carb dieters, (like Weight Watchers!) low glycemic dieters, and people that suffer from hypoglycemia (like my husband). Fructose, Frutevia's primary ingredient, is a natural fruit sugar that is easier on the body than glucose (table sugar) due to the low glycemic index. It absorbs more slowly in the body to provide longer lasting energy with little effect on blood sugar. I am happy that Fructevia is great to use in cooking and baking! Dei Fratelli

I am trying more and more to find foods that are more natural. So many foods found in the grocery stores are loaded with chemicals that our body does not need. I was thrilled when I looked on the Dei Fratelli (Fire Roasted)Pasta sauce jar and saw these ingredients: Crushed Tomatoes, Diced Tomatoes, Fire Roasted Zucchini, Fire Roasted Onions, Sugar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fire Roasted Yellow Bell Peppers, Fire Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Carrots, Sea Salt, Basil, Citric Acid, Oregano, Spices. I could read and understand every ingredient! I used the jar in my spaghetti. The taste was phenomenal, and I can say it was some of the best spaghetti that I have ever had! Plus, Dei Fratelli's Fire Roasted Pasta sauce had only 60 calories and had 2 grams of fiber! These are things I keep count of with Weight Watchers. I highly
recommend Dei Fratelli pasta sauce. The ingredients are natural, sauce is great tasting, and it's good for you! Dei Fratelli's products are so flavorful! Their website offers several great recipes to try!
Dei Fratelli has a great selection of salsas. The salsas are made with all natural ingredients, too! The black bean and corn salsa has these ingredients: Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, Black Beans, Peppers, Roasted Tomatoes, Vinegar, Sea Salt, Spices, Cilantro, Garlic, Natural Flavor Citric Acid. Such a great blend of good, wholesome ingredients! I think what I like best about Dei Fratelli products is, that I can be confident that I am putting good things into my mouth, and not anything that could possibly be dangerous for me or my health!
Along with the pasta sauces and salsas, Dei Fratelli also has Tomatoes, Juices, Sauerkraut, and low sodium/no salt added products.

I have looked for Dei Fratelli's great products in the stores, and I haven't seen them sold there yet. I do know that they can be purchased online here. You can feel confident in their products, because you can read the ingredients, and feel good about serving them to your children.

Kahiki Foods

I am a big time fan of Chinese food, and I am a sucker for egg rolls. I have purchased egg rolls from the store, and baked them in the oven. They are tasty, but it doesn't measure up to the restaurants egg rolls. The egg rolls just don't have the crunchy texture like at the restaurants. One main reason is I don't have a deep fryer. I was very impressed with the Kahiki Foods egg rolls, though. With these delicious egg rolls, you just pop them in the microwave. They are packaged in a special wrap, that when microwaved, makes them crunchy. I don't have to cook them in a deep fryer, add the extra calories and fat because of the deep fryer, yet I can enjoy the crunchy texture. The egg rolls from Kahiki foods are only 70-100 calories each. I really like that I can understand and read all of the ingredients of the egg rolls. For instance the Chicken egg rolls consist of these ingredients: cabbage, cooked white meat chicken, carrots, salt, sugar, vegetable oil (soybean, corn, and/or sunflower oil), sesame oil, eggs, spices, yeast extract. Wrapper:wheat flour, water, salt, wheat gluten, ascorbic acid, citric acid, corn starch, vegetable oil (soybean, corn, and/or sunflower oil). Sauce: water, sugar, distilled and/or wine vinegar, pineapple juice concentrate, cornstarch, natural extractive of paprika, hot sauce (cayenne red pepper, vinegar, salt, garlic powder), xanthangum, garlic, ginger, natural flavors, natural beta carotene. These egg rolls are great tasting (a little peppery) and not bad for health-wise either. They are quick to prepare, and really quick to eat. :) Kahiki Foods have 3 different selections of egg rolls: Pork & Shrimp, Chicken, and Vegetable. The packages sell with 3 in each one. I really enjoyed the Kahiki Foods egg rolls, and I know they will be on our future grocery lists.

Kahiki is committed to protecting our environment and contributing to recycling it after we use it. We even recycle our cooking oil through local farmers who in turn the oil into bio-diesel fuel. We also believe strongly in supporting our community through our support of causes such as the Stephanie Spielman Breast Cancer Research Fund at the James Cancer Hospital.
