Fresh Organics Review & Giveaway

I am all about using natural, kid-friendly, organic products on my kids...especially since most of them struggle with sensitivities= eczema. I was able to review for a great company, Fresh Organic Company, and was sent a bottle of the Shampoo and Body Wash and a bottle of their Bubble Bath. I love the fresh smell of the Shampoo and Body Wash, it reminded me of a spa. Just a clean, fresh scent. The Shampoo and Body wash is hypo-allergenic, safe on my kid's skin, and is multi-use. I love that this is for all over wash time. The soap lathered well, and kept a fun style in my daughter's hair. We like to style hair with shampoo at bath time:

My daughter loved the products from Fresh Organics. We used the Bubble Bath and it made fun bubbles. The Bubble bath product was very runny, and I am used to thicker bubble bath products...and that just surprised me. However, I loved the smells of the bubble bath, and that it is hypo-allergenic. No bad reactions on my precious tot's skin! That is a huge bonus!
I think that the Shampoo & Body Wash and the Bubble Bath are valued right at $7.99 per bottle. I think that these bottles will last long, and I am protecting my kid's skin by using safe, organic bath products. My kids and I give Fresh Organics two thumbs up! I noticed that Fresh Organics has products for kids and adults! Being a sufferer of Eczema, I think I should check into their products for me, as well.

Thanks to a program from Family Review Network and Fresh Organic Baby, they have provided the products for review & giveaway. I was not compensated in any way except for the complimentary product.

New Boon Bath Toys~ and a GIVEAWAY!

Bath time is such a fun time at our house! Our kids really enjoy their time in the tub, and we don't get any crying to go into the tub....just to get out! We recently got a few of the new Boon bath toys, Scrubble and Splat, and now my kids are having an even harder time getting out! I love the new toys! Scrubble is a set of 3 toys that have spouts (for squirting water out~ or at each other), the tops are interchangable, textured, and can even be washed in the dishwasher! I love that they are cleanable!

So many toys can get mold build-up, and with Boon, Inc. I don't need to worry about that! Plus, Boon's products are BpA- Free, Phthalate- Free, and PVC- Free! Boon's products are super safe!

Another new Boon Bath toy that we got was the Splat! This is a great set that promotes eye-hand coordination! This is the ring toss game. You get 3 colorful rings, and a "splat" target. My kids really enjoy trying to ring-the-target, and also put the rings on their wrists. Caleb uses the rings as power bands, and Maddie uses them as bracelets. Either way this toy is loved in and our of the tub! The Splat target floats nicely, and is made very well! It makes it extra challenging to hit the target when the water is moving it around.
Caleb made the target! What an accomplishment! He was so excited!

Maddie takes the easy route and puts the splat right in front of her. That's alright, someday she will move it away from her for the challenge.
Splat is available for $7.99, and Scrubble is available for $9.99, and I would say those are great prices to bring joy and entertainment for your kids! They are learning while using Boon's bath toys! Boon also has another new bath toy called Water Bugs which looks like a lot of fun! Your child can use the Boon net to scoop up 3 colorful water bugs! That retails for $7.99.
Thanks to Boon, you have a chance to enter to win a new bath toy! This contest is open to those in the United States. Go to the Boon, Inc. website, and look at the new bath toys. Johnson's celebrates 50 years!

For as long as I can remember, Johnson's baby products have been around. Actually, they have been around even longer than me! They are celebrating 50 years! My parents are celebrating 51 years of marriage next month. That is a long time! When I think of the basic necessities for my baby and toddlers, Johnson's bath products are on the list. I love the way that they clean, the way they smell, and the way that they are gentle on my children's skin. I was asked to review a few of Johnson's bath products on behalf of Mom Central and Johnson’s. With three young children, I was happy to partake in this review! Plus, Johnson's is one of our favorite bath time products!
I love the new Foaming Wash that Johnson's came out with! We use the regular bath wash, but my kids have so much fun with the foaming wash. They like to pump the soap into their hands and wash themselves. I think that the foaming wash is easier for kids to be more conservative with how much soap they use.
What I really like about the Foaming Wash, is it is in an easy, convenient pump-and-foam form. The bottle is specially designed to allows moms and caregivers the flexibility of using only one hand to dispense the product while also providing substantial lather for cleansing babies.
This works great when I give Cole his bath~ he is my newborn! It is so hard to hold on to new babies anyway, and bath time can be a bit challenging. I feel much safer with the pump, than trying to hold onto my newborn and putting soap on a cloth.
Johnson's Baby Bubble Bath & Wash is another great product! I love the scent of it! I love that the Johnson's Baby Bubble Bath & Wash is soap-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic, dermatologist and pediatrician tested, and is gentle enough for the newest babies. The bubbles from this product are bigger, and the kids love playing in the bath water!
You can find these products in your local retail and grocery stores~ available January 2009.
You can upload pictures and videos of your babies and see videos of other babies at Johnson's Baby Channel on You Tube. It is a great resource for learning and sharing with others about bath time, nap time, and more! It is a great place to "show off" your baby!
Happy 50th Anniversary Johnson's! Here's to another 50 years!

Bug Pod from Boon

With having kids, and taking baths, it is hard to find a great product to keep the bath products organized, and mold-free. I am so thankful that Boon has created products to help with this!
They have the Frog Pod, which is a great product, and now they have added a new member to the amazing Boon Products called the Bug Pod !
What makes this product so great? It is a great holder of those numerous bath toys and it also has drainholes to release the dripping water so your toys don't grow mold. The container is made as a scoop with a handle, so you can run the bug through the water to scoop up the toys. The Bug Pod can be easily mounted to the tub for easy storing with the use of the super strong adhesive strips or screws. The top of the Bug Pod is made to hold your shampoo and body wash, and the antennas are made to hold the bath poofs.
Another great feature of the Bug Pod is that it is made BpA-free, PVC-free, and phthalate-free, making this a very safe product that you can feel confident using with your family.
We love our Bug Pod, and think it is well worth the value price of $34.99. You can purchase your Bug Pod at many different locations (see here).

Our children's skin is so precious and tender, and I know that dealing with skin irritations and allergies, our family should use only the best products on our skin! I was very impressed with the Nature's Baby Organics products! I deal with Eczema to extremes, sometimes, and using the Face & Body moisturizer from Nature's Baby was so soothing to my skin! The ingredients in the moisturizer is made with 70-95% certified organic ingredients and it is paraben, SLS, Phthalate and Propylene Glycol free! Nature's Baby Organics moisturizer is certified from the company's own Aloe farm so they can be sure they have Aloe without pre-preserved Methylparabens and Phenoxythanol! I was very impressed at how it instantly felt like the moisture was back in my dry hands. I am confident that this moisturizer will be a great product to use on my kids through these cold, dry winter months.
Nature's Baby Shampoo & Body wash is a luxurious product! I love the smell of the Lavender and Chamomile! My kids liked the smells, too! The Shampoo gave a great shine to my kids hair. I am anxious to use this product on my new baby, because it will help prevent cradle cap (dry scalp) with the moisturizers. Nature's Baby Shampoo & Body wash is made with the highest quality botanicals, essential oils and luxurious moisturizers ( shea butter & kukui nut oil). Great product! I highly recommend it!
When our children get that terrible diaper rash, it can be so painful for them! I know that I have a hard time knowing if the diaper cream I am using is helping or creating more tears. Nature's Baby Organics offers a diaper cream that is made with Organic Sunflower, Cocoa Butter, & Castor Seed Oil for thevery sensitive skin! I am really excited about this, because I can rest assured that their diaper cream with sooth my baby's bottom! Nature's Baby Organics diaper cream is Preservative Free & Fragrance Free, too, which adds a sense of relief.
I recommend the great products that Nature's Baby Organics offers! You can see their great products here (click link).

Clean Fun with Spin Master's Products!

My kids love playing with water. Most kids love playing with water! Bath time is a great time for our kids to just play in the water with their toys! They also love playing with bubbles! I am a happy Team Mom member and I received two (very fun and inventive) products from Spin Master to review! I love finding out and trying new products for our kids! I love helping spread the information on to you, my readers!
The first product I am going to show you is the Kid Kleen Bath Blizzard. What a fun, FUN product to spark an array of smiles on your children~ it sure did with Caleb and Madelyn!

The Kid Kleen Bath Blizzard makes a TON of bubbles, and they feel so light and soft. I really like how the bubbles don't make the water soapy. The bubbles do last quite awhile. Caleb and Madelyn just giggled with glee over the volcano of bubbles erupting from the Bath Blizzard! The only thing I would like to see differently with this product, is it leaks from the bottom. It is best to leave it in your tub to drip out, or pour the remaining water/soap out when you are finished.
Kid Kleen products are safe and non-toxic, wheat and tears-free~ PLUS hypo-allergenic. That is a big plus for our family, since my kids are super sensitive to certain soaps.
The Kid Kleen Bath Blizzard operates on battery power, and just a turn of the knob creates a waterfall of bubbles. There is a handy strap that you can use to attach the Bath Blizzard to the faucet or towel rack. The retail price for the Bath Blizzard is $19.99 and comes with a bottle of bubble bath soap. I think for $19.99, you get hours of sheer fun in the tub for your kids! You can purchase this fun toy at Target, Walmart or ToysRUs.

The next amazing product I received to review from Spin Master was the Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle Mat! This product is a huge hit at our house! My kids love to color, draw, paint...and this covers all those activities in one! The Aquadoodle pads are created so those that use them, can draw with water! The Aquadoodle comes with an Aqua Pen that you fill with water. Then, you just use the Aqua Pen on the Aquadoodle mat, and the fun lasts over and over! I really think this product is super because the mess isn't really a mess. The water creation disappears from drying, and the drawing can become a new creation on the mat. Kids can dip their fingers or hands in water and doodle on the Aquadoodle pads that way, as well. The Aquadoodle Mat is a large, soft, fabric mat that can be used on the floor or table. I really like that this mat can be used over and over again, too. No waste there! Plus, if the kids do try to venture away from the Aquadoodle Draw 'n Doodle mat with the Aqua Pen to draw, it is filled with water, so there won't be any permanent marks left on any other items (furniture, walls, tables, etc.). Aquadoodle offers many other great water doodle products, as well. I think we need to look into one of those mini mats for travel times. The Aquadoodle Draw 'n Doodle Mat (with pen) retails for $24.99, and can be purchased at many retailers including Walmart, Target and ToysRUs. I think this is a must-have for those of you with toddlers! (I enjoy it, too!)

Speaking of bathtime...

I wish I would have had my camera in the bathroom tonight. Isn't that usually the case? You have a super cute moment, one that should be in photo, and the camera is nowhere in sight.

Anyway, I was giving Maddie and Caleb a bath. They LOVE bath time!! I had mentioned in a previous post about how Maddie loves to splash at me...well, some of that did happen tonight. What the funny thing is about tonight's bath time, is I was washing their hair, and then I "styled" it for them. Madelyn's stuck up in three different areas and had sweet little curls. Caleb's went into a punk rocker style, with the Mohawk. I don't think I will ever give him that kind of hair cut, but styling the kid's hair with shampoo makes it fun to see the "what-if..."

I will know better next time to keep the camera close at hand.

Next up to bat....

OK, so the kids are still sick. Maddie had a nasty diaper early this morning, and then by 9 she had a humongous blow-out! I learned when you do the "sniff-test" to their little bottoms, to NOT touch your nose to their clothes. Can I get a, "NASTY!!"? Oh, yes, it was quite gross. So, Maddie was on her way to the tub for a bath. After her bath, I was drying her off, when Caleb decided he was to throw up. It was a challenge to hold on to Maddie while getting Caleb to the toilet....then, to proceed to hold his head down with every cough. Oh, the joys of mommy hood. I was just glad that I had Madelyn out of the tub. I think Caleb had a reaction to what I gave him for breakfast (Coco Pebbles). I would like to think the stomach bug is out of him...but, I can't say for sure. His lips are tinted a bit blue today and his breathing is a little staggered...so, I have to nebulize him, too. Terry and I believe he has asthma, unfortunately. It is a busy household this morning. I was supposed to start babysitting yesterday, but between her daughter and my kids being sick...we need to wait it out. Hmm...I wonder when we can start calculating the 24 hour safe mark? Will we ever get well?

Boon: A Review and Giveaway!

boon n. A benefit bestowed, especially one bestowed in response to a request.

I was so excited when I received the opportunity to review the Boon products. I really like the modern style of these products. My kids have a lot of fun with the bath toys. They are foam toys, and chewable (for little ones). I really like that the balls have no holes in them. This helps greatly with keeping the mold out. There are 3 balls, 2 bath scrubbers, and many colorful shapes. My oldest son likes to make "pictures" with the shapes on the wall of the tub.

Madelyn just likes to chew on the shapes, and they probably feel great on her little gums. She is getting into throwing the balls, too, and she thinks that is funny.
As you can see in the picture, we have a Flo, too, and I love it! It has a soft, rubbery material so it helps prevent injury. Maddie loves to hit her head against it. I don't have to freak out, because it is soft on her little head. The Flo has an Easy-fill bubble bath reservoir, a one-touch bubble bath dispenser, and attaches easily and grips firmly to most bathtub faucets. I like that I can still turn on the shower head with the Flo attached. I really like this product because it makes rinsing the kids hair easier. I think Maddie really likes how it feels more like a shower. It creates a nice flow of water.

I like how you can fill the bubble bath dispenser before you turn the water on, then the kids can "help" put the bubbles in without making a mess. This is a super product for bath time, and I place it high on the list of "must-have" for homes with kids!

Our family likes to go places and it can be a challenge with everything we have to bring for the kids. I love that Boon has a super product line for feeding. The Squirt baby food dispensing spoon makes feeding on the go so convenient!

Here is what it does: allows for convenient feeding, one bite at a time. The easy-to-fill bulb holds up to 3 ounces of baby food and attaches firmly to the spoon end. Simply squeeze the bulb to dispense just the right amount of food. Squirt comes with a protective cover to seal food in and keep the spoon clean between feedings. By combining the spoon and food container into one product, Squirt makes one-handed feeding a snap.
The only thing I would do to make this product different, would be to make the spoon part a little smaller, and made of rubber. I think making these two changes would make the product more "baby friendly". Other than that, I completely love this product! It was a big hit at our family Christmas get together. My nieces (who are teenagers) wanted one. I would highly recommend this product for all parents of babies.

Another great feeding product that Boon has is a Groovy – Interlocking Plate and Bowl Set.

This is a great plate/bowl set for any toddler. I like how there are separate bowls to put the "dips." Every kid likes to dip everything...and this helps keep things a bit neater. Here are some facts: Groovy offers a fun way to serve meals in a customizable configuration. This interlocking plate and bowl set includes a toddler-sized plate with two separate compartments plus two small bowls that attach to the edge of the plate in a variety of positions. The small bowls are perfect for dipping—always an engaging activity at mealtime—or for serving small portions. The feeding line is made with non-toxic materials, so they are safe, too!
