Pictures to share

A few weeks ago, Terry brought the kids (Caleb and Madelyn) outdoors to play in the snow. He was home from work early on a Friday. Since it is hard for me to get outdoors with them, it was great that Terry could play in the snow with them. He took them out for a spin on the snowmobile. Caleb and Madelyn had a blast! This was Madelyn's first snowmobile ride. Caleb went with Daddy last year, so it was fun to see the two of them on there with him. Living on the lake is fun in all seasons! Terry likes having a wide and open area to ride!

Madelyn loves being out in the snow. She had a hard time walking in it, though. It was quite comical. I think she looks so cute~ a pink marshmallow!

Here are a few pictures of Cole. He is 5 weeks and 3 days old here. He is smiling a lot, and he just started a few giggles. He is starting to Coo a bit, too. It is so precious! I am looking forward to the cooing and giggling!

I love his little mouth. He is just so cute!
Caleb wanted me to take his picture, too. He scratched himself in the face this morning at breakfast. Can you guess what got him? His fork! Owie! Poor guy! He loves wearing shorts everyday~ lately. Fortunately we are home, so he can wear them indoors. He reminds me of spring and summer! We can't wait for the weather to change!

Have a great weekend!

Snow flakes keep coming...

It sure is white outside! I love the snow, and we are fully getting the ground insulated with it! It is so very pretty outside with the trees just caked in white, fluffy snow. I should try to get some pictures of it tomorrow. Nathaniel played outside most of the afternoon with his friend, and they had a grand time. Terry took Caleb out in the snow, too. Caleb was so excited to be outside! Maddie and I didn't make it outside, though. I actually thought maybe my water was leaking, but I don't think it is now. I was thinking I may be making a trip to the hospital, and I am glad we didn't NEED to go, due to the weather being so bad for driving.

I had my monthly stamp club this morning, and it was my month to be hostess. I got to bring treats for everyone, so I broke down and bought cinnamon rolls. It has been on my craving list lately, so it was a bad indulgence...but it tasted oh so good! With getting the hostess benefits, I got to get some of the hostess stamp sets, and free merchandise. It was a pretty good month, but I think last year was a better turn out. Oh well. Economy is tight, and so is my wallet. We did make 3 really cute projects, though. We made a Santa gift card holder, a designer card with a bookmark, and another card. It was fun! My friend came to join us today, so it was great to see her, too! Lisa is in the club, too, and it is always great to spend time with her.

All in all, it was a good day. Terry did a super job organizing and cleaning the laundry room today, and we got the table cleaned off. I am getting tired of our messy house, and the lack of organization. I am going to try really hard to get a lot done before the baby comes. I have to get the baby stuff ready, too...like the bassinet washed up, some baby clothes and night gowns, blankets, etc. I have been bad about putting this off. With my possibility of a leak today, it has really made me realize I should have things in order. Not much time left with only 3 weeks left.

I am not sure if we are going to church tomorrow with all the snow we got. Plus, my sciatic nerve has been so awful lately that walking is such a pain in the patootie lately. I am talking serious pain. Besides all the other body aches and pains, that sciatic pain is the worst.

Well, have a great night everyone!

13 Things to look forward to~

  1. January is almost over: which means, the longest month of winter is almost over. This means super, butt-nipping cold is almost gone.
  2. The days are starting to get longer: which means, the daylight hours will be longer=happier people.
  3. My babysitting/nanny job is going to be starting into full swing by next week. This will mean my life will get a lot more busy, but I think all in all this will be so good in so many ways.
  4. Nathaniel does NOT have school on Friday: which means some great time with my oldest son! I like when he doesn't have to go to school. (I miss having him home during the days).
  5. We are going to my husband's side of the family for a Christmas (belated) gathering. It has been awhile since we have been up to Grandma's and I know it will be fun for visiting. Terry's brother's family moved up there recently, so we will get to see their new home, too. Grandma's house is remodeled, too, so it will be fun to see the (much needed) update.
  6. I have some super products coming my way to review, and I think you all are in for some treats...HINT, HINT....yes, that means some SUPER contests will be coming your way very soon!
  7. I am planning a girl's night sleep-over to happen in February. I loved hosting it last year, and I am SO looking forward to a night with my special girly friends...for laughing, munching, giggling (yes, laughing and giggling are different)...yakking, and maybe sleeping. OK, I know I can't handle staying up all night anymore, so I will be sleeping.
  8. Madelyn is starting to say more things, and I am really looking forward to when she is talking. I love this stage she is in, and it just amazes me how much they really know.
  9. Speaking of Maddie, she has her first birthday coming up in a month and a half! WOW! I can't believe she was born almost a year ago! Time goes so quickly!
  10. In March, my parent's will celebrate 50 years of marriage! That is so wonderful and inspiring! I am so happy for them! It truly is a blessing! Congratulations to my parents!
  11. LADIES NIGHT OUT in February. This is such a great night with my girlfriends at our home church. Game night, laughing, yakking, giggling to the point of: (1) tears, (2) rolling on the floor, (3) walking funny all the way to the bathroom before an accident, or (4) spitting a beverage out of your mouth. It is so much fun, and I hope we all can make it!
  12. SNOW MELTING!! Need I say more?
  13. Spring! Ditto...need I say more?
