WNBA: LYNX Game!!

Our family went to a Minnesota Lynx game a month ago, and we had a great time. The MN girl's team was playing against the Tulsa Shock. We were really excited about going to the game, and this was our second game that we have attended. My daughter loves the Lynx mascot!
Caleb is a basketball fan, and he proudly wore his MN Lynx logo shirt. It was quite big on him, but he didn't mind. He was happy to support our team.
The WNBA games are family friendly. We brought our kids, and the youngest was 18 months. He had fun watching the girls play and getting in on all the action.

The MN Lynx girls played a great game, and the score was very close through the game, which made it very exciting. I love that the fans really get into cheering for those ladies. The Lynx gals work so hard, and play with excellence.
WNBA stands for Women's National Basketball Association. These ladies are hard workers, and many of them are moms doing their best at what they do! I admire the hard work and dedication they put into their career. I am sure it is hard to be on the road and being away from their family. Check out this link to see some pictures of mom pro basketball players: click here.
The WNBA games are a great place to enjoy family time together, enjoy a great competitive game, get away from the outdoor heat, have some treats, and cheer on our team! The WNBA games are great entertainment, and the players are great role models. A time out was called, and you can see that the team really works well together.

One of our new favorite players, Seimone Augustus, had scored 27 of the winning points! That is fantastic! It was really fun watching her in action, as well as the other players.

During half time, a few participants from the audience went into these over sized hamster balls to race each other. It was quite entertaining! My kids really enjoyed the half time show. The WNBA does a great job to make their games, and half time show, a treat for the whole family.
I snapped a photo of the kids next to the poster in the hallways. They had a great time at the game, and loved the LYNX logo shirts. The shirts were a little big for the kids, but they wear them as night shirts, and love to show off the Lynx team! GO LYNX!
We won the game at home (Target Center) 78-67. It was a great game, and I was super pumped that the Lynx won the game! It was a very close game, and it was great that the Lynx won the game! The two teams sure had a good fight to keep the high score, and this game was truly a nail biter! I also heard that the MN Lynx had defeated the Shock in Tulsa on the following Saturday night as well, 92-78!
You can go to the WNBA game in a city near you! I have a special code that you can sign up with to get a great deal on your tickets: enter WNBABLOG at ticketmaster.

The Pulse Slither is the Ultimate Scooter!

It is that time of year when the bikes and scooters come out! We were so excited to review the new Pulse Slither from Bravo Sports, my son couldn't wait for the snow to melt!
He rides around on his scooter constantly! He loves how easy it is to maneuver and do tricks on it. He loves to go really fast, lean into the curve and glide quickly around in another direction.
The Pulse Slither has three wheels, two bigger wheels in front, and a smaller wheel in the back. With this awesome design, the Slither makes doing cool tricks easier because you can pivot around with that back wheel and have the support of the two bigger wheels in front.
The Slither also has a great design on it. The graphics are very vibrant, plus they won’t chip or peel! The Pulse Slither is available in two dynamic color ways: Electric Blue “Skull Wing” and Toxic Green “Von Scroll.” The Slither, which retails for $59.99, is available at Target, K-Mart, Academy, AAFES, Sports Chalet, Dunhams and other select sporting goods retailers.
The Pulse Slither has a base board the size of a skateboard or snowboard, and it glides like a surf board on the waves, only you are on the sidewalks/roads. It can be ridden facing forward or standing to one side and is propelled by “slithering” from side to side or by pushing with your foot, opening up even more trick possibilities. The rudder-like rear wheel with variable tension gives the rider the freedom to drift in and out of turns, zip around corners, execute lightning-quick 180ยบ turns and adjusts to their skill level.
My son loves riding around on this every chance he can get. A few of his friends want the Slither, because they see how much fun it is, and they have tried it out themselves.
As a parent, I love that the Pulse Slither is a great product, my son loves it, and it provides an opportunity for him to get out and enjoy the outdoors (plus getting some exercise). This is a great alternative to indoor video gaming this summer!
The Pulse Slither is the long-awaited follow up to last year’s hit ride-on toy, the Pulse Kick N’ Go. Bravo Sports CEO Tony Armand, the creative mind behind both scooters, adds “We are so excited about the arrival of the Slither. The Pulse extreme scooters offer more versatility, functionality and excitement than a traditional scooter and are great fun for kids of all ages and skill to ride. The feedback so far has been incredible! Once people get on a Slither, they don’t want to get off!!” For additional product information and to see the Pulse Slither in action, view photos and get a complete list of retailers, visit www.pulsescooters.com.

Build-A-Bear's New Movie: Holly & Hal Moose~Our Uplifting Adventure

I was invited to attend a special private premiere viewing of the new Build-A-Bear movie: Holly & Hal Moose: Our Uplifting Adventure. We went to the Mall of America and saw the hour long movie in the theater. Holly and Hal Moose were there to greet us. I was fortunate to go with two of my other blogging friends.

Madelyn just loved Holly Moose. She was so smitten with her. She was a bit bashful with Hal.
Holly and Hal were there to greet all the kids, and they were also there in the theater to introduce the movie. This is Build-A-Bear's first movie.
ABC Family and Build-A-Bear Workshop came together to create this movie. I thought the movie was super cute, and the animation was adorable. Holly and Hal are just cute! Plus, the other characters: Santa and Mrs. Claus, the elfs, Robot Hal, the reindeer...they are cute, too. Madelyn and the other kids in the theater were very drawn into the story. Holly & Hal Moose: Our Uplifting Adventure is about Holly and her little brother Hal. Holly is suppose to watch her brother, but she would rather be at her friend's party. Hal wonders off, and Holly goes on the search to find her brother. They find each other and end up in Santa's neighborhood. The story reveals so much about loyalty, believing in yourself, and making your dreams come true. I really like how the movie portrays Holly as an obedient child, even though you know she would like to do something different. This is an adorable movie, and I recommend it. After the movie, we went to visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop. We each made a Holly and Hal Moose. Maddie picked out the animals from the bin...we waited in line,
then, she got to work the foot pedal to stuff the bears/moose. She thought that was so cool!
I think the kids had a great time watching their Holly and Hal Moose animals fill up and look more like stuffed animals.
After Holly and Hal were stuffed, we put in the hearts. The kids kissed the hearts, so their moose pets were kissed/made with love. At this point, kids can add sounds to their bears. I choose not to add sound.
After the bears from BABW are stuffed, they get sewn up. Madelyn loves her new friends! She carries Holly with her everywhere. Holly ventured to the clinic with us yesterday.
We walked over to brush out Holly and Hal under the dryers. Madelyn loved this part. I think she thought she was really fixing/brushing their hair out.
This is my blogging friend, Jeannie's grandson, Christian. He had a great time with the fun day!
Madelyn was very happy with her finished result. We had to get Holly some clothing. We picked out her puffy red coat, and winter stripped hat. I opted not to get the jeans and UGG boats (even though those are super adorable). Maybe we will have to go shopping for more clothes for Holly in the future. Build-A-Bear has a great selection of clothing and accessories for your bears. Guess what? Hal's Christmas lights on his antler's really light up, and you can change the batteries when they run out of juice! He is super cute, too!
Christian, Madelyn and Sam had a great time in the BABW! Thank you Build-A-Bear Workshop for creating such a fun and engaging atmosphere for our kids! The picture below is my friend, Lisa's little boy, Sam. He is 4 1/2 months older than Madelyn.

Holly and Hal Moose: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure premiered last night on ABC Family (sorry I didn't post this earlier, but my daughter was sick). However, there is a second premiere on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 10 AM ET/PT. Today, Wednesday, Nov. 25, this DVD movie is available to buy, which includes a beary special Build-A-Bear Workshop offer, an exclusive virtual gift to use at buildabearville.com and a FREE download of the movie’s signature song. SRP: $14.99 Check it out!
