This very evening Terry was faced with the question, "Do you love me?" from Caleb. Caleb had taken a bite of Madelyn's finger in the bathtub because he was upset with her. Terry was giving them a bath, and when Caleb did this, he was immediately taken out. He knew that he upset his Dad~extremely. So, of coarse his security was feeling threatened...with that, he asked his dad. This question is asked by a lot of children, and if it isn't asked, it is thought of by most children~ if not all children.The book Always is a great book to read to your young children. This book is about a little boy who asks the "do you love me when..." questions. The Mom reassures him that she loves him no matter what~ Always! Caleb and I love reading this book together. We comment on some of the things that the little boy has done. Caleb says, "Oh-oh, that isn't very nice." I let him know, that his mom still loves him. We also talk about how his dad and I love him no matter what. Great book!!

Ann Stott is a children's book designer. She says that this book, her first, was inspired by questions her own son has asked her. She lives in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Matt Phelan has worked in the film industry and illustrated a number of books for children, including the Newbery Medal winner THE HIGHER POWER OF LUCKY, THE SEVEN WONDERS OF SASSAFRAS SPRINGS, and THE NEW GIRL . . . AND ME. He lives in Philadelphia.
