Mat-chats (proper noun)- Placemats used at meal times to break down barriers and promote conversation.

Each Mat Chat includes: a discussion topic, Inspirational Quote (gets you thinking), 4 questions (gets you talking), dictionary meaning of discussion topic, and a reminder to always respect others. There are 8 place mats in each kit, and they are priced at $14.95 a set.
Lisa Brown is the founder and CEO of Mat chats. Being a widowed mom of two, and a Psychiatric NP, she knows the importance of active parenting. She knows life is busy, being a busy mom herself, and the inspiration came to her one harried morning. She wanted something to help make the most of her time with her kids. What is great about Mat Chats, is her kids help her put the topics/questions together.
Lisa Has offered to sponsor a giveaway for my readers! Here are the "rules" of the contest: This contest is open to all readers living in the Continental United States. To enter the contest, Go look at the Mat Chats available and pick out which one interests you the most. Come back here and comment about it. Click here to see how you can earn extra credits to win, and click here to see guidelines and the official rules. Contest will end on October 6th, at 7:00 PM CST.

ReplyDeleteChristina - xristya@rock.com - I like the Friendship Mat Chats, and in general think it's a great idea, especially for the time when dinner is almost ready but not quite, and they can fill in that time by filling in the Mat Chats to lead to further discussion during the meal!

ReplyDeleteThe Gratitude ones. Sometimes, in the age of abundance, we forget to be grateful for all we have and not envious of what we don't.

ReplyDeleteI always ask my kids before they eat what they are grateful for today, so I like the gratitude set. My next fav would be health. I would love to try these.
ReplyDeleteI like the fun/work set. We like to have those conversations at dinner.
ReplyDeletejennifer, jennem22 at yahoo dot com
I love them all. I suppose my favorite would be the Attitude. (My true preference would be a mixed set of all options!)
ReplyDeleteI like the attitude ones. Seems to be a good set of cards.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the fun/work set!
ReplyDeleteI would love a mixed set, therefore bringing up different subjects each time.
ReplyDeleteBut if I had to choose one, it would be the Gratitude ones. In this "what about me"? world, gratitude is so often overlooked.
I like the Gratitude ones!! While I seem to remember more and more lately to be more gracious, watching friends of mine go through years of infertility and then I was their surrogate.. they are beyond gracious for their son now, so it really reminds ME to be gracious towards others. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. :) alison523 at gmail dot com
