Valentine's Day Giveaway~

Valentine's Day Glitter Comment Graphics from Dollielove.com
Valentine's Day is a great day to share love with those who are special to you. This holiday brings me back to my elementary days when I filled out the cards (that took forever to sign every one) and brought them to school to hand out. Remember making the special boxes with the pretty decorations? These boxes were filled with cards and candies from everyone in class. Now that I have a son who is in elementary school, I get to help him with his Valentine's for his classmates. I have come across a fun and creative gift that he can include with his Valentine's. I think it will be a big hit...and tasty, too! Fruit Roll-ups have come up with a super product for Valentines. My Fruit Roll-ups fruit flavored snacks have made it possible to make your own Valentines. You can go to their site: here, and create a fruit roll-up of your very own. You can pick a picture, a saying, and then just order. They have so many pictures to choose from! I made one with a groovy monkey and typed up Happy Valentine's Day 2U on it. I am excited to see it, and I know Nathaniel will love to give them out. There are 30 in a box, so it works out perfect for his class. Each box costs $29.99 (plus tax, where applicable). So it's only $1 for each roll! If you order before February 3, you can have them by February 13th! Just in time to give them out. Would you like a chance to win a box of personalized Valentine's from My Fruit Roll-Ups? Just leave me a comment about the sweetest Valentine’s message you have sent, or received, and I will pick three winners! That's it! This contest is open to bloggers and non-bloggers...and USA residents. This contest is open until February 1st at midnight. I will announce the winner February 2nd during the day, so you can get your orders in time for Valentine's Day.

CONTEST is NOW CLOSED~~winner will be announced Saturday afternoon (2/2)
Here are the three winners:
#8 Stephanie
#34 topaztook
#83 Michelle
I will contact these three, but if you are on the list and see your name, feel free to e-mail me. :)
CONGRATS!!

  1. The best Valentine’s I’ve ever gotten were from my dad. He’s my ’step-father’ but he raised me since I was a small child and has always been my Daddy. We had a rocky time when I was a teenager because he just didn’t understand me - a bookish girl. He’s very quiet and was never overly affectionate or loose with words. Thats why when I get a simple card with “I Love you Taryn, Dad” written inside it means the world to me. When he says “I love you” his voice changes and I know he really really means it. I have the best daddy in the world.

  2. The most memorable valentine that I gave was to my children a few years ago. Rather than purchase the tradition bagged chocolate candies, I purchased full-size candy bars and taped them onto a poster board to spell out "love" messages for them. ~ :)

  3. While I was taking a shower, hubby wrote “I LOVE YOU” in the fogged up mirror. It was sweet to find that when I got out of the shower.

  4. DH and I were having a rough patch one year, and I wasn't expecting him to get me anything, but he surprised me with a Precious Moments figurine (I collect them) with the saying "This Too Shall Pass"
It meant so much to me at such a hard time in our relationship, and things quickly got better!@

  5. The sweetest valentine's message I ever got was from my dad. One year, he knew how homesick I was being 3,000 miles from home, and that I wouldn't admit that I was homesick. He called Colonial Williamsburg and ordered me a case of their root beer and had it sent to me in California. He included the sweetest message, telling me how much he missed me, but also, how proud he was of me that I was doing something "BIG." It just really made my day, which had been really awful up to that point, much better.

  6. Hi, Before I became a SAHM, I was a teaching assistant in a second grade classroom. The children were a mix of learning disability and behavior disorder sturdents. I worked with N.,
who had become epileptic after falling out of a grocery cart as a toddler. He would try to get out of his school work by using his illness. I knew he was there to learn. Some days we would go round and round! Sometimes I would think to myself and wonder why I was putting myself through this?! Then, it was time for the Valentine's Day party. I didn't think N. would even give me a card. Of course, he surprised me and he has signed it himself and everything! N. passed away in his late teens from a brain surgery gone awry. I still have his Valentine's card. Thanks,Cindi

my sweetest valentine ever was from my daughters the year i got divorced. I woke up that morning to little valentines all over the house!!! I mean 100's of them. They were 5 and 6, I asked them why they did that and they said"we only got each other mom, who else could do it" My heart, broken, began at that second to heal.

  9. I've been trying to think of one but I can't, but recently my nephew (who is four, almost five) got two pieces of candy (witch he doesn't get often) from his grandpa but when my sister came in and he very politely gave his second piece of candy to her which I thought was so sweet of him. My sister pop popcorn for him all the time.

  10. One year (while we were dating) my dh came with 3 long-stemmed Red Roses. He told me that it meant I Love You...one Rose for each word! If that wasn't sweet enough, he looked at me and said...but 3 doesn't seem enough to me, and gave me 3 dozen instead! 1 dozen for each word!!

Most memorable Valentine is hard because we don't do a whole lot around here...Probably my favorite was the first I was dating my husband and we were together (we spent the first year mostly apart). 26. In the 6th grade, a classmate ordered the pink (or was it white?) carnation for me for Valentine's Day. I knew he liked me, but he didn't want me to be upset either, so he chose a neutral/safe color to give instead, which was white or pink, and NOT red. It was the first time a boy gave me flower.

  30. Gosh, I don't have any good valentine stories of my own. My hubby usually gets me a little box of chocolates & a little plush if we even buy gifts. I do have a cute story about my 10 year old though. When she was in 3rd grade, this boy liked her. While she was at dance he delivered a little plush dog & some candy to our door step. She was so happy. Then the next day another boy found out & he gave her a Skechers watch from a pair of shoes his sister had gotten, LOL.

  31. It is hard to say the sweetest valentine, takes some thinking! I think the ones I liked the most were the ones my kids made when they were little. My husband used to make them too and sometimes all my cards were homemade and special.

  32. My best, sweetest Valentine's gift ever was when my then 3 year old Autistic son finally, finally, finally said those wonderful three words - I love you. He actually said it on the 13th, but we see it is a Valentine's Day gift! It was always an intimacy issue with him, but he finally looked us in the eyes and said it. It was great!

Now, I just have to say that this fruit roll up idea is great!!! Thanks for bringing it to my attention, as win or lose this generous prize I've bookmarked that website and will use it in the future!!!

  33. Personalized fruit rolls ups? Very neat! The sweetest valentine I've ever received was from my boyfriend in high school. It was the first valentines day we were together and he bought one of those "valentine grams" they sell at school for 50 cents where you fill at the card and they get delivered to the classrooms with suckers. I still have it in a box with a bunch of other cards he's given me over the years.

  45. This is awesome! The best v-day gift I ever got was from my now-hubby. On our first V-day together, we were actually apart, doing student teaching about 2 hours away from each other. He couldn't come because it was on a Thursday and we both had school...Lo and behold, his cooperating teacher at school was in on it and let him leave a little early...G calls me on the phone to wish me a happy V-day and tells me that he had a surprise sent & waiting outside my door...and there he stood with a bouquet of flowers - best gift ever (him of course! Not the flowers!)! :)
